© Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma March 2009 June 16, 1927 ~ March 16, 2009 Son of the late Nebraska and Bessie Green Hutchins, he served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He managed the Chit Chat Cafe in the late 1960s and also founded Bob and Harold's, the predecessor of the current Wee Too Restaurant. He played in the local Oakwood Boys Band. He was survived by his wife Pauline; two daughters, Lindy Chambers and Nancy Hempfling; two sons, Glen Hutchins and Gary Hutchins; one brother, Robert "Bob" Hutchins; nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. His graveside service was held March 19, 2009, with Pastor John Chambers officiating and with military rites |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma October 10, 2015 August 2, 1926 ~ October 8, 2015 The funeral celebrating the life of Mrs Alta Pauline Hutchins, 89, of Enid, will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Enid, with Rev Don Johnson of Central Christian Church officiating. Services under the direction of Brown- Cummings funeral Home. Alta Pauline Hutchins was born August 2, 1926 to Theron and Delora Kitchen, northwest of Hydro, Okla., and passed from this life October 8, 2015. She attended Swan Grade School and Weatherford Oklahoma High School. She had four brothers, Wayne Kitchen of Pawnee, Okla.,Dee Kitchen of Enid, Okla., Don kitchen of Chelsea, Okla., and Frank Kitchen of Skiatook, Okla. She moved to Enid in 1946 and married Leroy Dawn. They had one daughter, Helen "Dawn Dowler of Tulsa,Okla; one granddaughter, Michelle Dowler; one grandson, Jim Dowler; and five great grandchildren. She married Harold Hutchins in 1970, living in Denver, Colorado. She worked for Sanford and Stunkel Drug and 10-plus years for Long Bell Lumber corporation. She worked in Denver for Colorado Specialty Food as the office manager for more than 10 years and then retired and moved to Enid in 1980. She is preceded in death by both parents, husband Harold Hutchins, and her brothers, Wayne Kitchen, Dee Kitchen, and Don Kitchen.
