Enid, Oklahoma October 2022 November 21, 1932 ~ October 7, 2022 Jim was born November 21, 1932, at Wichita Falls, TX to Walter Lloyd and Lettie Ellen Hurd and passed away Friday morning October 7, 2022 in Enid. Jim graduated from Enid High School and Phillips University. He was a life long educator and coach starting at Lahoma High School in 1958, and later at Covington-Douglas High School in the early 1960's. He retired in 1987, and enjoyed his retirement by golfing and restoring antique furniture. Jim was a veteran of the US Army serving in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jim is survived by his children, Frances Rogers and husband David and John Hurd and wife Cynthia, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Jones and brother Lloyd Hurd. |
© Anderson~Burris Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma December 2024 October 8, 1934 ~ December 14, 2024 Graveside services for Marcy Lee Hurd, 90 of Enid, will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Marcy was born October 8, 1934, in Enid, Oklahoma to Floyd and Manona [Love] Rhodes and passed away on December 14, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Marcy grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. She was a part of Imo Neighbors Club and the Garfield County Election Board. Marcy is survived by her daughter Frances Rogers, son John Hurd, and her brothers Gary Rhodes and Phillip Rhodes, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
