Oklahoma City, Oklahoma January 2025 January 26, 1920 ~ January 4, 2025 Chloe Marie [Ratley] Hopson passed away January 4, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born January 26, 1920 in Marshall, Texas to William Davis "Bud" and Annie Rebecca Holt Ratley. When Marie was five years old her mother died, leaving her dad to raise Marie and her five-month-old sister, Verna. Three years later Bud married Estelle. Marie had three more sisters, Esther, Betty Lou and Daisy. 4After the death of Estelle when Marie was 16, she helped raise her siblings. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Ratley; two siblings who died in infancy; and sisters, Verna, Esther, Betty Lou and Daisy. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Fleming and Earl Hopson; son-in-law, Ray Halbert; son, Doyle Hopson; and grandson, William Fleming, Jr. CENTENARIANS OF OKLAHOMA was proud to honor Chloe Marie Hopson on the occasion of her 103rd birthday celebration and induct her into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Her centenarian file will now be sent to the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City to become a permanent part of Oklahoma history. |
