Frances Etheena [LaForge] Hopkins
August 19, 1925 ~ November 13, 2006


The funeral for Frances E. Hopkins, 81, formerly of Enid, will be 2 pm Wednesday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs Marvin Robertson and Rick Bradford will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born August 19, 1925, in Marshall to John L. LaForge and Bessie Prince and died Thursday, Nove3mber 23, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1943.

She married Everett W. Hopkins February 17, 1946, in Enid.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

She worked for Dr Ogle for more than 30 years and was a daycare provider at Nanny's Nursery.

Surviving are three daughters, Rebecca Robertson of Madrid and Donna Wally and Laquita Greeson, both of Hennessey; one sister, Betty Ivey of Enid; two brothers, Granville LaForge of Nixa, Mo., and Iven LaForge of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to mission fund at Bethel Baptist Church in Yukon.

The funeral for Betty J. Hopkins, 65, will be 2 PM Friday at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The casket will be open until service time.

She was born May 30, 1934, in Fairmont to Walter Art and Edna Cohrs Neihus and died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at Highland Park Manor after a period of ill health.

She attended Fairmont Lutheran School and Garber schools.

After graduating from high school she was employed by Champlin Petroleum Company in the accounting wholesale billing department. She also was an Avon representative.

On June 9, 1961, she married Jauleel R. Hopkins, Sr.

She was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are one son, Timothy A. Hopkins of Enid, three stepsons, J. R. Hopkins Jr of Enid, W. J. Buzz Hopkins of Tulsa and Donald Hopkins of El Reno; one stepdaughter, Judith A. Meyer of Kingfisher; one sister, Dolores Nichus; 14 step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, three step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

Memorials may be made through the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Stroke Division or to the Lutheran Hour.
