Myrtle Clarris [Gay] Hoover
March 18, 1907 ~ September 29, 2005


A graveside service for Myrtle C. Hoover, 98, will be 1 pm Monday at Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev John Jamieson will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.

She was born March 18, 1907, and died Thursday, Septemb er4 29, 2005, at Meadowlake Estates in Oklahoma City.

She married Edward Herbert Hoover October 7, 1929, in Wellington, Kansas. They moved to Enid in 1961. She worked in retail clothing sales.

Surviving are one daughter, Montera Long of Del City; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, one daughter, one son, five sisters and three brothers.

Paul Wesley Hoover
September 2, 1909 ~ March 24, 2009


Enid, OK - Paul Wesley Hoover was born September 2, 1909, on the Centennial farm of his parents, Wesley P. and Mabelle L. Hoover, west of Hunter, Okla.

After graduating from Hunter High School in 1928, he farmed and raised Hereford cattle.

He served on Garfield County Fair Board for almost 50 years, where he enjoyed helping work with youth.

During World War II, he served in the Medical Corps.

On Aug.ust14, 1954, Paul and Mary Frances Seapy were married in Enid.

After her death in 2000, he moved from Kremlin back to the Hoover farm. He lived there until May 2008 when ill health brought him to Golden Oaks Nursing Center, where he died Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; brothers, Carl and Merle Hoover; and sister, Helen Albright.

Paul is survived by one sister, Louise Bradley; numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Laura Seapy, and brother-in-law, John Fiegener; several cousins and many friends.

Services will be held Friday, March 27, 2009, at 10 am at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in the Hoover family plot.

Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Garfield County 4-H Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.

Floyd Vernon Hoover Jr
October 12, 1930 ~ August 2, 2017


A Celebration of Life for Floyd V. "Bud" Hoover, Jr, will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 7, 2017 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bud was born October 12, 1930 in Enid to Floyd and Luella [Lane] Hoover and passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at St Mary's Hospital.

Bud was a graduate of the Class of 1948 of Enid High, and then attended OSU, formerly A&M.

After college, he came back to Enid and farmed the land his grandfather Cyrus Hoover had homesteaded until his retirement.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Enid, and married Betty [Poindexter] Bell, May 12, 1973.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Luella; son, John Hoover; two sisters, Donna Pedrick and Marjorie DeBusk; and step-daughter, Tamara Bell.

He is survived by his wife Betty, of the home in Enid; two daughters, Jennifer Heffner of Cardiss, Wales; Julie Garrison and husband Eddie, of Norman, OK; stepson, Michael Bell, of Enid; four grandchildren, Royce Garrison, of Norman, OK; Katharine Heffner and Daniel Heffner, of Austin, TX; Casey Hoover and wife Amanda, of Oklahoma City, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Bud's name may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the charity of your choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
