© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma March 1979 December 12, 1921 ~ Marech 29, 1979 Willa M. Henzler, 57, 734 W. Hickory, died Thursday evening in a local hospital following an extended illness. Her service will be at 10 AM Monday in Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Lloyd Lambert, minister of Central Christian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs Henzler was born December 12, 1921, at Buffalo to Mr and Mrs Ernest E. Barton. She grew to what graduated from Selman high school in 1940, and was an eight year 4H Club member, during which time she won a trip to the American Royal in Chicago for wood projects. She attended Oklahoma A & M college, Stillwater, from 1940-1942, and was employed by the Veterans Administration, Washington DC, from 1942-1945. From 1945-1947, she was employed by the Enid Army Airfield, and had been employed by Groendyke Transport, Inc., since July 1947. On May 29, 1952, she married O. E. "Buck" Henzler. He died May 16, 1964. She was a member of Central Christian Church, a 25 year member of Enid Women's Bowling Association, and an 11 year member of Chisholm Trail Chapter of American Business Women's Association. Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs James D. [Maxine] Wolfe, North Canton, Ohio, and Mrs Wayne L. [Patsy] Stebbens, Selman; two brothers, George W. Barton, Tulsa, and Max E. Barton, Enid; three stepchildren, Mrs Don Putnam, Ponca City, Stanley M. Henzler, Claremore, and Mrs Sandra Mygrant, Las Vegas, Nevada; five step grandchildren; two aunts and one uncle, Mrs R. H. Carver, Edmond, and Mr and Mrs Ivan R. Wagner, Enid; and 12 nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Buck, she was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the Linear Accelerator, Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital or the C. T. Scanner, St Mary's Hospital, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund. |
