Anna Mae [Metzger] Henry
March 25, 1896 ~ August 3, 1974


Mrs Anna M. Henry, 78, 410 N. 30th, died a Saturday evening in a local nursing home after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday in Henninger-Allen Funeral Chapel with Rev Bill Smythe officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Those who wish may make contributions in Mrs Henry's name to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Heart Division, with Henninger-Allen Funeral Home acting as custodian.

Mrs Henry was born on March 25, 1896, in Junction City, Kansas. She moved with her parents to Pond Creek and attended schools there.

On September 27, 1919, she and Everette V. Henry were married in Oklahoma City.

She had been an employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone for several years.

She was a member of Central Christian Church. Her husband, two daughters, and one brother preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Henry and E. V. Henry Jr, both of Enid; one daughter, Mrs Dale [Wilma Jean] Simms, Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Clifford [Eva] Hopwood and Miss Winfred Metzger, both of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

Wilma Irene [Buchanan] Henry
January 12, 1913 ~ December 26, 2008


Funeral service for Wilma "Irene" Henry will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev Jim Troutman and Everett Ohls officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials May be given to Lovington Good Samaritan Care Center with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.

Irene was born January 12, 1913, to Ren and Alice DeVault Buchanan in Enid, Okla., and passed away Friday, December 26 at Lovington Good Samaritan Care Center, Lovington, NM.

She had been a longtime Enid resident until 1999 when failing health forced her to move to Lovington.

Irene married Hank Henry December 16, 1940, and raised a son and two daughters. Both Hank and Irene retired from Luckinbill Mechanical Contractors in 1975.

Irene is remembered as a wonderful homemaker, gifted seamstress, avid gardener, loyal member of Calvary Baptist Church, and beloved mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Lester Buchanan and Lloyd "Studie" Buchanan; two sisters, Lettie Mize, and Mable Weber; and a son, Bert Weber.

Irene is survived by two daughters, Wilma Kuhlemeier, Temple, Texas, and Juanita Burgin, Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth Buchanan, Enid, and Carl Buchanan, Oklahoma City.

Norma Lee [May] Henry
March 18, 1926 ~ May 16, 1978


Mrs E. V. [Norma Henry, 52, 515 N. Fifth, died Tuesday evening in a local hospital after becoming suddenly ill while playing golf. Her service will be Friday at 2 PM in Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Lloyd H. Lambert officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs Henry was born March 18, 1926, at Driftwood.

She attended the Enid school system and was formerly employed by Evans Drug Company.

The former Norma May, she married E. V. "Hank" Henry July 10, 1949.

Mrs Henry was a member of the Meadowlake Ladies Golf Association.

Survivor include her husband, Hank; two daughters, Mrs Debbie Vickers, Villa Park, California, and Mrs Dick [Jamie] Newkirk, Enid; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs Evelyn Frank, Tulsa, and Mrs Roberta Wadsworth, Tampa, Florida.

Richard Charles Henry
October 2, 1929 ~ January 5, 2015


Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery for a graveside burial service to bid farewell to Enid, Okla., resident, Richard Charles Henry. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Patricia. Arrangements are by Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Richard served in the US Army and worked for AT&T until his retirement.

He loved dogs, lunch at Pak-A-Sak, until it closed, and then became devoted to Sonic on East Garriott, followed by a friendly game of snooker with pals.

He was a gentle, kind man, who will be missed by his three nieces: Jamie Newkirk, Deborah Sigmond and Linda Simms; four grandnieces; a great grandniece; three grandnephews; three stepchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.

Paul Nordan Henry
May 10, 1936 ~ October 24, 2020


The funeral service for Paul Nordan Henry will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in the Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Drew Drawbridge officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Paul was born May 10, 1936 in Ava, Missouri to Julius V. and Sarah Annis [Woody] Henry and passed away October 24, 2020 in Enid.

On February 23, 1963, he married Lois Jean Shortnacy in Enid where the couple made their home.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army.

After his honorable discharge, he worked for the City of Enid Street Department for over twenty-two years, working his way up to Superintendent before retiring.

He relished nature and the outdoors but especially enjoyed fishing. His greatest passion, however, was his family and the love of his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Lois; children, Steve Henry and Scott Henry; grandchildren, Hunter Henry; Storm Henry and wife, Lindsey; Jacob Henry; great-grandchildren, Shane and Wyatt Henry; sisters, Betty Slaten and Daisy Johns as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lois Kenny; Odean Cagle; Nancy Cagle; Ruth Carter and Jr. Henry.

Memorials can be given to Elara Hospice with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.

Andrew Jacob "Drew" Henry
February 13, 1998 ~ July 15, 2022


The service celebrating and honoring the life of Andrew Jacob Henry, 24, of Enid will be held Monday, July 25, 2022, in the Garden of Hope, Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Brown Cummings Funeral Home.

Andrew was born a military child in Great Falls, Montana, and was raised in Okinawa, England, and Enid.

As a child, Andrew was very active in Boys and Girls Club youth sports and gaming.

In 2016 he graduated from Enid High School and worked various local jobs.

He moved to Tulsa in 2020 to work for Amazon. He returned to Enid in 2021.

He is survived by his parents, David Henry and Dara Perez; brother, Zachary Henry; great grandmother, Vivian Gammill; grandfather, Donald Henry [Patrica]; grandmother, Genevieve Parsons; uncles, Richard Perez [Susan] and Thomas Perez; aunts, Debra Burnett [Gary], Sabrina Kramer [Chris], and Shana Bridwell [Austin]; and three generations of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Hubert and Arlene Henry and Homer and Eula Harvill; great grandfather, Glenn Gammill; grandfathers, Michael Perez and Edgar Parsons; grandmother, Yvonne Gammill; great aunt, Glenda Gammill; uncles, Dennis and Timothy Perez; aunt, Cindy Vinson; and cousin, Gavin Henry.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness [NAMI], with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
