OBITUARY
The funeral for Phyllis Guthrie, 68, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Revs. Kevin Choate, Jim Westmoreland and Jim Thorpe will officiate. A private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. She was born May 23, 1936, in Elk City to Jimmie Earl and Vestal Willliams Turner and died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at her home. She was raised and attended school in Elk City. She moved to Enid in the 1950s. She married Bob Guthrie July 14, 1970, in Enid. She owned and operated Pak-A-Sak Drive-In. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are her three daughters, Deborah Lovell of Mannford, Cindy Schmiedeberg of Edmond and Laurie Westmoreland of Hollis; a son, Kent Crook of Enid; a brother, Rodney Turner of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and a brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Dexeus Clinic Relay for Life.
