Services for Pauline W. Gurwell, 66, 2912 Oak Ridge Rd., will be 10 AM Tuesday at the Ladusau – Evans Chapel with the Reverend Ed Coy Light officiating. Gurwell died Friday afternoon.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born August 7, 1919, in McAllister, the daughter of Lonnie and Pauline Hill. She attended Enid schools and graduated from Phillips University. On November 7, 1939, she married Hugh. L. Gurwell. For 27 years, Gurwell was a special education teacher in the Enid school system and was selected as an outstanding teacher by Instructor Magazine. She retired in 1981.

Survivors include her husband, Hugh, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. David (Stefani) Schram, Enid; two sons, David and Mark, both of Enid; and nine grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation's heart division. The funeral home will be custodian of the funds.
