The graveside service for Gary G. Griffith, 44, of Enid will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Memory Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dave Jones officiating. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Oakwood Christian Church with Revs. Dave Jones, Roy Wahlgren and Dan O'Daniel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Gary was born January 15, 1964, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Gary F. and Dorothy (Dot) Kinney Griffith and passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at his home after a battle with cancer.

Gary was raised in the Aline-Cleo Springs community where he graduated from Aline-Cleo Springs High School in 1982. He attended Northwestern State College. He married Sherri D. Fitzgerald Sept. 4, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev.

At a young age he worked at Dillard's Champlin service station in Cleo Springs, later working for the James Crabtree Correctional Center. He began a career with the U.S. Postal Service, working in Hennessey, Enid and later became the Postmaster in Waukomis. He was a member of Cleo Springs Christian Church.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sherri, of the home; parents, Dan and Dot Baker of Cleo Springs; two brothers, D. L. Griffith of Parker, AZ and Dean Bond of Newcastle, OK; one step-sister, Reyna Keltch of Longdale, OK. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-laws also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary, and all of his grandparents.

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Sherri Fitzgerald Griffith, 51, of Enid, will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dave Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Sherri was born April 11, 1964, in Liberal, Kan., the daughter of Francis and Juanita Hibbs Fitzgerald, and died Nov. 3, 2015. She was a graduate of Enid High School in 1982, and then graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1986.

Sherri was united in marriage to Harold Clay. On Sept. 4, 1988, she married Gary Griffith in Las Vegas, Nev., and he preceded her in death Dec. 19, 2008.

She was employed as office manager for Dr. Ed Braly in Enid and later employed as office manager for Dr. Brian Whitson. She was a member of the Cowboy Church. She and her husband showed custom cars, attended car auctions, and enjoyed NASCAR. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband, especially a trip to Sturgis, S.D. Sherri was an avid OSU fan, enjoyed western dancing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two brothers, Louis Turner and his wife Gloria of Wichita, Kansas, Gordon Fitzgerald and his wife Carolyn of Haskell, Okla.; one sister, Bonita Kaufman and her husband Loyd of Enid; 12 nieces and nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews and other extended family including her in-laws Dan and Dot Baker of Enid. She will be missed by her precious pets, Nico and Sissy. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Vicki Fitzgerald.

Memorial contributions may be made to OMRF heart or cancer division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home custodian of the funds. The service may be viewed at ladusaue vans.com.
