Wilber Jesse "Willie" Green
March 30, 1915 ~ October 25, 1985


Wilber J. Green, 70, died early Friday, October 25, 1985 at his home, 1906 N. Monroe. Services will be 2 PM Monday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home with Paul J. Enabnit Sr, minister of Davis Park Christian Church, officiating. Burial with Masonic and military rites will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Green was born in Beaver County and moved as a young man to Enid where he attended school.

On August 24, 1935, he married Susie Couch.

Green worked for Long-Bell Lumber Company until entering the United States Marine Corps in June 1944, serving in the Southwest Pacific aboard the USS Haan.

He was discharged from the service in April 1946 and returned to Enid where he worked for Akard and Caton Lumber Company, retiring in November 1982.

Green was a longtime member of the Davis Park Christian Church, American Legion, VFW, Masonic Lodge No. 501, Sons and Daughters of the Cherokee Strip and Garfield County Genealogical Society.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, entering apprenticeship in 1951, and served as worshipful master from December 1959 to December 1960. He was a junior deacon in 1956, senior deacon, 1957, junior warden, 1958, senior warden, 1959 and treasurer from 1973 until the present.

He was a member of the Scottish Rite, Guthrie, earning fourth through 32nd degree, 1952, Knight Commander of the Court of Honour, 1961, and President Enid Scottish Rite Club, 1960.

He also was a member of the Akdar Shrine, Tulsa, Enid Shrine Club, of which he was President in 1964, and vice chairman of the Crippled Children's Committee, 1973, member of official family, Scottish Rite, and Guardian of Temple, 1974.

Other memberships include Scottish Rite 21st degree team and assistant director; Scottish Rite Funeral Team; Board of Directors for Masonic Temple Foundation Inc., Garfield County, and chairman of the public relations and membership committee, 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Susie; two daughters, Mrs Harvey [Joan] Salger, Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and Gayle Mukres, Reston, Virginia; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Ida Rork and Truvilla Elledge, both of Enid.

Memorials in his name may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division, or Garfield County Hospice Association with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.

Beulah Mildred [Meinhardt] Green
January 26, 1917 ~ March 30, 2007


A graveside service for Beulah Mildred Green, 90, of Enid, will be 2 pm Tuesday in Memorial Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev Ted Kuschel will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born January 26, 1917, on a farm near Fairmont to Adam G. and Hattie M. Thomas Meinhardt and died Friday, March 30, 2007, in Golden Oaks Nursing Center.

She attended and graduated from Garber High School in 1935.

She married Gerald "Jerry" S. Green April 7, 1939. He died August 28, 1996.

She worked as a dietary assistant at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center for 23 years, retiring in 1981.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Delores Battin of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Stanley Green of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Gerald, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

She was the loving wife of Wilber J. Green, loving mother to their 2 daughters Joan [Green] Salger and Gayle [Green Munkres Meadows, and loving "Nannie" to her 4 grandchildren - Jason and Nicole [Salger] Watter and Lisa [Munkres] Kearns and Traci [Munres] DuBois Buffum.

She was a life long member of #36 Oklahoma Eastern Star.

Estella Irene [Harris] Kurtz Green

The funeral service for Estella Irene Green, 96-year-old Enid resident, will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Central Christian Church. Reverend Tom Stanley will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Estella Irene Kurtz Green was born May 20, 1925, near Covington, Oklahoma, and passed from this life June 13, 2021, in Enid.

Irene graduated from Pioneer High School in 1943 and upon graduation moved to Enid to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She later worked with Huffman Floral for 14 years.

She was a lifetime member of Integris Baptist Hospital Auxililary and an active member of Central Christian Church.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mollie [Dillingham] Harris; husband Ted Kurtz and husband Garrell Green; her son Gary; and brother D.E. Harris.

Irene is survived by her son Dennis Kurtz, her sister Wanda Gungoll, and grandchildren Amy Kurtz and Theodore Kurtz III, as well as two great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the charity of the donor's choice.

Iona was a supervisor for Clean Clothes Rental.

She was a member of Central Assembly of God Church and loved her Lord Jesus Christ.

Iona loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchild.

Her sister, Arlene Teske was her best friend and will sorely missed by Arlene.

Iona enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles.

Iona is survived by her daughter, Linda Richardson, grandchildren, Stephanie Watkins, Michael & Kamiee Smith, James Watkins and Mark and Claire Smith, great grandchildren, Michael Smith, Marlee Smith, Matthew Smith, McKenzie Smith, Macee Smith, Haley Smith, Coltn Watkins, Trevin Smith and Kole Smith, one great great grandchild, Hayslee Smith, and a sister, Arlene Teske; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Catherine Green Watkins and Jean Green, grandchildren, Shawn Green and Matthew Smith, brothers, Arlie Teske, Sr and Ervan Teske and a sister, Verda [Teske] Slimp.

Funeral services for LaRitta Dolores Green, 75, Enid, will be held at 10 am Wednesday, December 24, 2014, in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel, with the Rev Gary Miller officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family present will be this evening from 6-7 pm at Stittsworth's.

LaRita was born December 19, 1939. in Enid, the daughter of Jesse Vasquez and Oleta Lavonica, and passed away peacefully on December 20, 2014, at her residence.

She was raised and educated in Enid.

On May 8, 1973, LaRita married Freddie Green in Enid.

She worked for the Election Board for 10 years.

They both were members of Bible Baptist Church for over 30 years.

Survivors include LaRita's husband Fred of the residence; daughters, Meriah Burnett of Enid; Rhonda Walters of Abilene, Texas and son John Green of McAlester; brother, Roy Vasquez of Drummond, and Ramona Armstrong of Gore, Okla.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

LaRita was preceded in passing by her parents; children, Carlene Othier, Sandi Hodges, Richard Parker, Shawn Green; and brothers, Roy Vasquez and Dorman Burkes Jr.

The family has selected Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation as appropriate for memorial donations.

Graveside services for Freddie Leon Green, 81, Enid resident, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 17, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Terry Chick officiating. Freddie was born on February 21, 1940 in Hennessey, Oklahoma, the son of Orphia Delbert Green and Florence Rose Lebow Green, and passed away on December 13, 2021 in Oklahoma City.

Freddie was born on a farm west of Hennessey, Oklahoma.

He worked on the farm and was devoted to helping with the daily chores.

He was one of nine siblings, so there was always something to do.

Freddie attended Hennessey Schools, graduating from Hennessey High School with the class of 1958.

Freddie worked at various jobs during his life and most recently at Vance Apr Force Base. He was a butcher, mechanic, police officer, and truck driver.

Freddie served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. He was a combat soldier in the Korean War. He was a heavy weapons infantry man.

Having many interests in his busy life, Freddie enjoyed traveling, coyote hunting with his buddies, fishing and attended the large Green Family Reunions, where he often kept everyone laughing with many stories.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Bob Green of Hennessey, Oklahoma, his wife Laritta Green of Enid, son, Shawn Green of Oklahoma City, his brother, Bob of Little Rock, Arkansas, his sister, Millie Sue Scott of Blackwell, his brother, Ira Green of Casa Branoe, Arizona, his brother Danny of Hennessey, and several step children.

Freddie is survived by his brother, Jim and wife Joane of Fayetteville, Arkansas, sister, Elizabeth Lee of Hobbs, New Mexico, brother, Dale and wife Dolores of Watonga, Oklahoma, his sister, Mary Winburn and husband Dwight of Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Fred also lovingly took in and fully raised into adulthood as his own children, Jason Parker of Oklahoma City, from the age of 2 years old, and Mariah Burnett of Enid, from the wee age of 6 months old.

Fred was an amazing grandfather who loved his grandchildren greatly.

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Jackie Jack Green, 67, of Enid will be held 10:00 AM Monday July 16, 2018.

He was born July 2, 1951 to Altus Jack Green and Dorothy Green in Ada, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 12, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Ada, Oklahoma graduating from Ada High School in 1968.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam War.

He married his late wife Vickie Lee Schoonover November 5, 1973.

After returning from the war he began working in the oil field and later worked in professional security for many years.

He married Linda Blackwell March 28, 2014.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the casino, making his wife happy, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Linda, of the home, two daughters, Denise Irvin and husband Brad, of Enid and Barbara Hankey and husband Alan, of Helena; 7 grandchildren Desiree Gulick, Amber Gulick, Addie Peterson, Jove Peterson, Jon Irvin, Journey Irvin, and Kayla John; and two great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of forty years, Vickie Lee Green, and one brother, Howard Dennis.
