Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Jacky Lee Goodman, 80, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the funeral home.

Jack was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Pond Creek, Okla., the son of Lee and Viola Peck Goodman. After his mother’s death, Jack was raised by his paternal grandparents.

He was a graduate of Pond Creek High School where played football and was a member of the band, playing his trumpet.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Johnson on May 24, 1953, at North Enid Chapel. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2012.

Jack was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Army. Jack enjoyed playing music and woodworking.

Survivors include two aunts, Betty Hignite of Enid and Patsy Carpenter of Wichita, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Miller, Mary Johnson and Sharon Johnson; brother-in-law, Clarence Burrell; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to OMRF, cancer division, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
