Funeral services for Barbara Glaze, age 56, of Enid, will be at 10 AM Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Robert Florence officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Barbara was born April 11, 1939 in Laura, Arkansas to Joy and Berniece Arnold Mesingale and died early Monday morning in Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital. She was raised in Reeds Spring, Missouri where she attended school.

In 1977 she was Mother of the Year at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Springdale, Arkansas. She started the Phase 5 Children's Ministries in Springdale and in 1978 she was Modern Woodsman Citizen of the Year because of her work with children in Springdale. She had over 100 in her Phase 5 Ministry before coming to Enid.

January, 1980 she married Reverend Clarence Glaze in Springdale, Arkansas. She was a member of First Love Pentecostal Church where she helped Clarence in the Ministry. She organized and ran the Phase 5 Ministries in the church.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence; a son, Keith McCarver; and daughter, Rhonda Huey, both of Enid; two step – daughters: Marilyn Murray of Enid and Michelle Atterson of Hastings, Nebraska; two step – sons: Terry Glaze of Tulsa and Terrell Glaze of Disney, Oklahoma; four grandsons; one granddaughter, a brother, J. B. Mesingale of Chicago, Illinois; four sisters: Juanita Faucett of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Verba Fields of Fairborn, Ohio, Joyce Watson of Evansville, Indiana and Patricia Millsap of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home or First Love Pentecostal Church to the Phase 5 Children's Ministry of the church.
