© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma February 27, 2014 November 19, 1958 ~ February 25, 2014 The funeral services for Bernice Ruth "Ruthy" Lee Larsen Gillespie, 55, will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 28, 2014 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Darryl Scott of Christ's Church of North Enid will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. She was born on November 19, 1958 to Mildred F. Young Lee in Enid and passed away February 25, 2014 in Enid. She fought a courageous fight for 3 ½ years to beat breast cancer. She has now been set free from all of her pain and has her wings. She had a laugh that drew you in, a smile that opened doors and a stubbornness that made her special. She is survived by her husband, John Gillespie; children, Brandon [Tiffany], Gabriel [Vaness]), Miechelle [Eddie], and Andrew [Courtney]; Grandchildren. Raine, Madelynn, Trentyn, Spencer, Cheyanne, Jonathan, and Laura; sisters, Beverly, Patt, Reva, Sandy, and Lilly; brothers, Raymond and Robert; Her lovely little dog named Lily Jean and best friend, Scott Larsen. She was preceded by her parents and grandparents. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Commons, especially Cindy King, Millisa, Mary, and Dana Clark. They would also like to thank Hospice Circle of Love, the volunteers, Dr Dexeus and his staff. Memorials may be given to Hospice Circle of Love, The Commons, or Brown-Cummings Funeral Home with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
