ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Cynthia Jo Gilbreath will be 2 p.m. today, Sept. 13, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Cindy was born June 24, 1941, in Seymour, Texas, to Earl and Margaret (McFarlin) Birdwell and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, in Enid, surrounded by her loving family.

In 1962, Cindy married Sidney Gilbreath in Texas.

She was a student of the Bible all her life and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with others.

She was office supervisor for the city of Enid and secretary for various banks and churches.

In July 2007, Cindy retired as administrative assistant from the Cherokee Strip Baptist Association, formerly Perry Baptist Association.

In 2007, Cindy became a proud survivor of pancreatic cancer.

Cindy loved to crochet and spend time with her family. She was a proud member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher, church treasurer and a part of the Women's Ministry Committee. Her heart was her family, home and the Women?s Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Kaleb.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Sidney; two sons, S. Todd Gilbreath and wife Beckie of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Kenny Gilbreath and wife Jennifer of Enid, Okla.; two grandsons, Benjamin Gilbreath of Ohio, and Jordan Gilbreath of Enid; cousin, Sandra Reed and husband Walter of Canton, Texas; cousin, Jason Damron of Enid; and lots of friends.

Memorial donations can be given through the funeral home to St. Jude's Children?s Hospital or Calvary Baptist Church, Logsdon Fund.
