© Mercer-Adams Funeral Home Bethany, OK March 2000 September 14, 1923 ~ March 25, 2000 He was born September 14, 1923 to Bill Gerhard and Golda Rorabaugh Gerhard in Enid, OK. He attended Enid public schools and married Opal Waddell on June 15, 1946. They resided in Enid until moving to OKC in 1980. He was a WW II veteran serving in the US Navy. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1857, OKC; life member of the DAV Charter 29, OKC; member of American Legion Post 4, Enid, OK; Plumber's & Pipefitters Local 344, OKC; Odd Fellow's Lodge #31, Enid; and Odd Fellow's Encampment #13, Enid, OK. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters & 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Opal; sister, Ruth Zaloudek and brother Alvin Gerhard, both of Enid; and many nieces & nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Mercer Adams Chapel, with interment at 2:00 pm at Enid Memorial Cemetery, Enid, OK. |
Enid, Oklahoma November 2010 October 10, 1917 ~ November 6, 2010 Daughter of the late Alexander and Davada Swafford Waddell. She was the widow of Jimmie Gerhard, married in 1946. She grew up and attended school in Cushing, OK. She served two years in the United States Navy during WWII. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Enid, OK. Her funeral was officiated by The Rev Don Johnson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. |
