Loan T. Gauler, 34, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died at Bowling Green Manor Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006.

She was born Loan T. Huynh on July 30, 1971, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Long and Tammy Huynh, of Enid.

Loan graduated from Pioneer High School in 1989, and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1994. It was in Stillwater, where she met her loving husband, Brin Gauler. After a two year courtship, Loan and Brin married Oct. 16, 1993. They went on to have two beautiful children, son Tanner, 11, and daughter Asia, 10.

Loan leaves behind her adoring family Brin, Tanner and Asia of Bowling Green, Ohio. Also surviving are her parents, Long and Tammy Huynh of Enid, brothers, Thao and Luan Huynh, sisters, Loan K. and Van Huynh.

Loan came to the United States with her parents at age six. The oldest of five, she played a key role as a family care taker. As a result, Loan became very independent at an early age, a trait that served her and her family very well.

After the birth of their son and daughter, Loan suffered kidney failure, which she dealt with for over seven years with weekly dialysis while raising her children. An avid family person, she dedicated herself to her children and helped them develop a passion for learning and reading at a tender age. All who knew Loan admired her not only for her love and compassion but also for her incredible strength and determination. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Loan was a loving mother, homemaker, member of the Church of the Nazarene Bowling Green, and the Army Reserve. She is a Christian and remained strong in her faith until her passing, which serves as a source of strength for all she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at noon Saturday, March 4, 2006, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet visitors Friday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to Montessori of Bowling Green.
