The funeral service celebrating the life of Hazel Marie Gammon, 90, of Enid, is 2 p.m. Thursday August 10, 2017, in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Johnson officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born March 15, 1927, in Spiro, Oklahoma, to Amos and Victoria Cusick Schrimsher, and passed from this life August 6, 2017, in Enid, Oklahoma. She was raised and educated in Spiro, Oklahoma, and moved to Fort Smith, Ark., where she met and married Floyd Charles Gammon on August 4, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2006. They lived in various communities across the United States due to his service in the military. The couple finally moved to Enid in 1953.

She is survived by daughter, Connie (Rick) Campbell, of Enid; sons, Phil (Christy) Gammon of Enid, Chuck (Nita) Gammon of Mars Hill, North Carolina; Gerald (Joanne) Gammon of Waldorf, Maryland; and Doug Gammon (Marilyn Bell) of Enid; ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters Louise Guvare of Tulsa and Betty Gillenwater of Tempe, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Floyd, her grandson Brandon, six brothers, and four sisters.

Memorials may be made, in honor of her husband, to the Alzheimer's Association, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

The funeral for Floyd C. Gammon, 88, of Enid, will be 2 PM Monday at Brown – Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dan O'Daniel will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Vance Air Force Base Silver Talon Honor Guard.

He was born February 5, 1918, in Marietta, to Chester Fields and Floy Wolf Gammon and died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Enid Senior Care Center.

He grew up in the Garber – Covington area and graduated from Garber high school. He served in the Air Force from 1939 to 1960, serving in World War II and Korea.

He married Hazel Schrimsher August 4, 1946, in Fort Scott, Arkansas. Following his discharge he worked for Northrup and Serv Air.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel, of the home; one daughter, Connie Campbell of Enid; four sons, Phil Gammon of Enid, Chuck Gammon of Mars Hill, North Carolina, Gerald Gammon of Waldorf, Maryland, and Doug Gammon of Enid; 12 grandchildren; and six great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and a grandson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid Senior Care Center or Alzheimer's Association.
