Funeral services for Violet “Jo” Galligher, age 70 of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Destiny Christian Fellowship. Pastor Darrel Kostka will officiate. The casket will be open at the funeral home until 8:00 a.m. Monday morning and not at all for the service. Interment services will follow in the garden chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jo was born February 16, 1938, in Imperial, Neb., to Max and Marie Loeffler Goddard and died early Wednesday morning, February 27, 2008, in Greenbrier Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness.

In 1957, she joined the U.S. Army and being stationed in California, she trained to become a dental Specialist. Jo was honorably discharged in 1960. She married James Galligher in 1961 in Farmington, New Mexico and they moved to Enid in 1974. James preceded her in death in December of 1992. They had been married for 32 years.

During her working career, she held various jobs to later retire from Norce of Enid as a cook in 1991.

Jo is survived by Sam and Jackie Galligher, John and Dawn Galligher, Joe and Shawn Galligher and Janice Lentz all of Enid. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Destiny Christian Fellow-ship.
