Pat was born to Paul and Ethel (Tobias) Messner Sept. 3, 1934, in Paxton, Pa., and passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, in Edmond.

The family moved to Rome, N.Y., where Pat met her husband, Edmund Galbraith, who was stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base. They married on June 25, 1954. They lived various places, as Ed was training, including Kansas, Alabama and Panama City, Fla. When Ed was on a remote assignment in Alaska, Pat stayed with her family in Rome. After he returned, the family moved to Brunswick, Maine, before Ed was transferred to Germany.

In 1964, Ed was reassigned to Vance Air Force Base in Enid. Pat was active in many base clubs, including bridge and bowling. She helped with her children’s Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts troops. In 1969, Ed was assigned another remote tour to Vietnam, and after retirement they remained in Enid.

Pat was a member of Enid First Assembly and Primetimers group. She enjoyed painting, gardening, crossword puzzles, sewing, cleaning, bird and cat watching, shopping, skating, letter writing and decorating.

Pat is survived by daughter Debra and husband Randy of Anaheim, Calif.; two sons, Richard Galbraith of Enid and Mark and wife Kimberly Galbraith of Edmond; four grandchildren, Tricia, Beth, Jason, and Richie; brother Harold Messner of Rapid City, S.D.; sister-in-law Janet Messner; cousin June and Ray Eck of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Ed and brother Paul.

Memorials may be made to Enid First Assembly Primetimers. Guest book is available at www.andersonburris.com.
