Beverly Bea GEORGE

Memorial Park Cemetery

May 10, 1955 - June 16, 2022

Funeral services for Beverly Bea George, age 67, of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Beverly was born May 10, 1955, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Mayo and Virginia (Stotts) Root, and passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, in Oklahoma City.

Beverly was a graduate of Enid High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Timothy George on April 5, 1986, in Broken Arrow, OK. She began her career with Safeway Food Stores, eventually retiring from Jumbo Foods in 2017. She also worked for a while at Enid Family Lab. She was a member of Central Christian Church. Beverly was a seven-year survivor of breast cancer. Her career was shortened to care for her ailing mother full time. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and attracting birds in her back yard, but what she loved the most was her family, and her beloved pets.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Mayo and Virginia Root; husband Timothy George; and brother, Robert Root.

She is survived by three siblings, Ed Root and wife Karen, of Perry, OK, Mayo Root, of Enid, and sister, Ginny (Root) Oblander, of Kingfisher, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Beverly's name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Central Christian Church or Enid SPCA, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made, memories shared and services viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
