June 22, 1932 - December 25, 2022

Celebration of Life Service for Maybelle Gariepy, 90, will be January 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Maybelle was born on June 22, 1932 in Rapid City, South Dakota to George Edward and Isabel (Brophy) Hawley and died on December 25, 2022 with her family by her side.

She grew up in Custer County, South Dakota and graduated from Newcastle High School in Newcastle, Wyoming. On June 24,1950, Maybelle married Kenneth Gariepy in Newcastle, Wyoming. They lived all over the United States following Kenneth's job with Baker Oil Tools. They finally settled in Enid, Oklahoma. Maybelle worked for Gray's Clothing and many years at Humphrey Abstract, where she retired. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church and Enid Antique Car Club.

Maybelle was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and her parents.

She is survived by her three children, Larry (Judy) Gariepy, Norman (Debbie) Gariepy, and Sharon Frye; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Hawley; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to OMRF-Breast Cancer.
