Gerald Dale Frazier
August 6, 1920 ~ September 8, 2005


Son of the late Leon G. Frazier and Edith Hull Frazier.

He graduated from Medford High School in 1938. He graduated from John Brown University in 1942 with a degree in accounting.

He enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1942 and served mostly at Randolph Field, TX.

He married Vida Lee Milan on June 3, 1943.

He joined Union Equity in 1951 and served in various positions over the years. He was presented an award by Oklahoma State University in 1968 as an "Outstanding Contributor to the Grain Industry of Oklahoma."

He was active during his career with many professional associations and local organizations including the American Legion, Enid Tennis Association and Oakwood Country Club.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was survived by his wife; one son, Don Frazier; two daughters, Dian Bowen and Marilyn Bell; three grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives.

His funeral was officiated by The Rev David Wiggs and Shorty Unruh on September 12, 2005.

Vida Lee [Milam] Frazier
September 24, 1920 ~ December 28, 2016


A Celebration of Life for Vida Lee Frazier, age 96, of Enid, is 1 pm, Monday, January 2, 2017, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with Reverend Randy Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Sunday, January 1, 2017. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Vida Lee was born on September 24, 1920, in Haskell County, McCurtain, Oklahoma, to Henry G. and Jessie [Scruggs] Milam and died December 28, 2016.

She graduated from High School at Siloam Springs, Arkansas in 1938. Vida Lee went to John Brown University at Siloam Springs and graduated in 1942 with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics.

After graduation from college, Vida Lee taught school in Arkansas for a year and then married Gerald Frazier in June 1943.

They lived in San Antonio where Gerald was stationed at Randolph Field.

Vida Lee worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company while in San Antonio. A son, Don, was born in San Antonio in 1944.

Vida Lee came to Enid in 1946 and began teaching school at Longfellow Junior High School in 1948. She retired from that activity in 1953.

After her retirement from teaching, two daughters, Dian and Marilyn, were born.

Her activities extended far beyond devotion to family. Vida Lee served as Chairman of the Enid Camp Fire Board; was a member of the Domes-Ti-Kates, an Extension Club; and was an active worker in First United Methodist Women's Group and a member of the Friendship Class. Vida Lee was a member of the Gamma Child Study Club. After the member's children were grown, it became just the "Gamma Study Club."

She loved to sew, as well as to cook, and exhibits of her handiwork were on display regularly at the Garfield County Fair. Vida Lee was very talented when it came to quilting; she loved creating beautiful quilts for her family. She continued sewing and making quilts well into her 80s. She was also an avid bridge player.

Following Gerald's retirement from Union Equity, they traveled extensively, following their granddaughter Amy's tennis career. They also took many cruises and vacations in the U.S. and abroad.

They relocated to Golden Oaks Retirement Village in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, and three brothers, Dorsey, Grady and Bill Milam.

Vida Lee is survived by her children, son Don and wife Carol of Rochester, MI, daughter Dian Bowen and husband Eddie, of Enid, Marilyn Bell, of Enid; three grandchildren, Amy Frazier Johnson and husband Ben, of Rochester, MI, Dr. Ash Bowen and wife Kate, of Edmond, OK, Matt Armstrong, of Enid; three great-granddaughters, Opal Frazier Johnson, of Rochester, MI, Ann and Elizabeth Bowen, of Edmond, OK; two sisters, Jane Robinson, of Fort Smith, AR, and Lahoma Edwards, Greenwood, AR; as well as many other family and friends.

Memorials in Vida Lee's name may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Enid, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Eddie Frazier
September 10. 1925 ~ November 23, 1998


Eddie was the oldest six children born to Charlie and Victoria Frazier.

He attended school in Eudora.

He accepted his military obligation and served in the US Army.

He was united with Tabernacle Baptist Church and later united with Grayson Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday School Teacher, President of the choir an a member of the Brotherhood.

Eader Bessie Frazier
August 30, 1926 ~ September 17, 2008


The funeral for Bessie Frazier, 82, will be 1 pm Saturday, September 27, 2008, at First Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev Hiram Sims will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid.

She was born August 30, 1926, in Milburn to George Washington and Emma Torran Johnson and died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at her home.

She attended school in Geary. She married Eddie Frazier. They made their home in Enid.

She was a member of First Church of God in Christ, where she served as young women Christian counselor, purity counselor and youth choir director.

She worked as a salad hostess at Oakwood Country Club and retired from St Mary's Regional Medical Center as a certified nurses aide for 26 years.

Surviving are her children, Rev Donnie H. Frazier of Los Angeles, Calif., Faithan Frazier of Wichita, Kansas, John Frazier of Azusa, Calif., Royce Frazier and Craig Frazier, both of Edmond, Robert Frazier of Arkansas City, Kansas, Eddie Frazier Jr of Dallas, Edna King, Patricia Stevenson, Victoria Shells and Ordalia Frazier, all of Enid, Pamela Turner of Wichita, Kandsas, Dr Jean Sims of Mobile, Ala; two brothers, Thaddeaus Johnson of El Reno, J.C. Johnson of Spenser; 34 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, two sisters and three brothers.
