"Jack" Ford, age 87, of Canton, will be 10 am Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Lesly Broadbent will officiate. Arrangements are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Jack was born January 15, 1926, in Oakwood, OK, to Ambus and Eunice Rankin Ford and passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, in Oklahoma Veterans Center in Clinton. He was raised in the Oakwood community, where he attended school. He entered in the US Navy and served during WW II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam, retiring after 28 years. He was a nuclear inspector. He married Donita McCants and was married for 35 years. She passed away on August 14, 1987. He worked as a foreman for George E. Failing Co. for 20 years. He is survived by his children, Marvin J. Ford II of Reno, Nevada, Patricia Witkowski of Ringwood, OK, LaVonna Jo Emmerson of Longdale, OK, and Donita "DeeDee" Baze of Stillwater, OK; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Ford of Utah and Willie Ford of Fairview; one sister, LaVona Day of California; and several nieces and nephews. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma May 2007 February 21, 1935 ~ May 11, 2007 A funeral service for Laveta Pearl Ford, age 72, of Enid, will be at 11 am Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Trinity Baptist Church, with Rev Clayton Conley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be today from 7 p.m. to 9 pm at the funeral home. She was born to Dorsey W. “Red” and Lillian M. [Gates] Johnson on February 21, 1935, in Parkville, MO and died Friday, May 11, 2007, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid. Laveta grew up in Parkville and attended school there. On April 19, 1955, she married G. A. Ford in Parkville, and they made their home in Enid, OK. She was employed as a RLSA II at the State School until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Trinity Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and VBS, and was a member of Secret Sisters. She was a member of the WIBC, and bowled on three leagues. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Mae Clements and husband Wally, and Ruby Jewell Slowik and husband Ronald, all of Enid; three grandchildren, Randall James Ford of Fayetteville, AR, Andrea Lee “Rogers” Tambunga of Morrison, and Russell Eugene Rogers and wife Michelle of Enid; four great grandchildren, Chandra Michelle Rogers, Amelia Lynn Tambunga, Alysia Pearl Rogers, and Caitlin Helen Rogers; three brothers, John Johnson and wife Linda of Urbana, Mo., Larry Johnson and wife Lois of Smithville, Mo., and Randy Johnson and wife Joy of Stockton, Mo.; five stepgrandchildren, 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; eight stepgreat great grandchildren; and numreous nieces and nephews. Laveta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma October 2016 March 23, 1959 ~ October 18, 2016 The funeral service for Gary Eugene Ford is 3 pm Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. A visitation with family is 6-8 pm Friday, October 21, 2016, at the funeral home. Gary was born March 23, 1959, in Oklahoma City to Jerry and Lucille [McDaniel] Ford, and passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Gary was raised in the Oklahoma City area, moving to Enid in his twenties. He worked as an auto mechanic and ran his own tree-cutting service. Gary met his soulmate, Ruth Lyons, on January 9, 1983, and the couple made Enid their home. He enjoyed fishing, classic cars and working in his shop with his cat Booger, making a variety of things. Gary is survived by his wife, Ruth Lyons; stepchildren, Montana Lyons and wife, Susan; Misty Scheel and husband, Garry; grandchildren, Malachi Lyons, Hannah Lyons, Makayla Lyons, Isaac Lyons, Sydney Scheel and Ramie Scheel. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Jack Lyons; and Grandma Ford.
