August 15, 2017 brought to a close 47 years of a life well lived for Todd Alan Evers.

He was born Oct. 7, 1969, in Enid, Oklahoma to Judy Lynn (Dyer) and Paul Edward Evers. Following graduation from Enid High School, Todd spent some time at the University of Central Oklahoma before enlisting in the United States Air Force. In 1998, Todd joined the fire department at Tinker Air Force Base where he found his life's true calling. Todd was the true definition of complete commitment and devotion to his passion for being a fire fighter. He was a founding member of the Mid America Fools (Fraternal Order of Leatherhead Society) and Todd was also an instructor at EOC for 10 years.

He was the Air Force Materiel Command Fire Fighter of the Year in 2010 as well as the Oklahoma Big Brother of the Year. When Todd wasn't at the fire department, he could be found playing a round of golf, shooting clay pigeons and targets, playing video games and watching movies. Todd loved to grill and recently got a smoker which he made great use of. He was a big fan of music, especially Willie Nelson! Todd loved life; he loved his family, and the brotherhood of the fire department.

Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Judy (Dyer) Evers; and a baby brother, Matthew.

He will be greatly missed by his greatest joy, his daughter, Audrey Evers of the home; his beautiful fiancée, Lindsey Kiser of the home; proud parents, Paul and Sherry Evers of Broken Arrow; favorite siblings, Kenny Cribley of Enid, Brandi Crawford of McKinney, Texas, and Shana Lamar of Trophy Club, Texas; loving grandmothers, Wilma Ashley of Oklahoma City and Coleen Mauk of Tulsa; aunts and uncles, Harold Evers of Enid, Lloyd Evers of Honolulu, Hawaii, Theresa and Bob Humphries of Tuttle, Kenny Dyer of Oklahoma City, Jeff Dyer of Texas, Harold Karner of Texas, and Janet Mack of Carmel, Ind., Dan Mauk and wife Karen of Colorado, Diane Johnston and husband Buck of Enid, Marsha Whitaker and husband Roger of Tulsa, WC Ashley and wife Barbara of Texas; Lindsey's parents, Curtis and Peggy Kiser; his entire fire fighter family; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, with family present 6-8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. The service to celebrate Todd's life is 1 p.m. Saturday, August 19th, at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159.

He will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Resthaven Funeral Home,
