Funeral services for Verna Fae "Taesy" Everitt, 102, of Enid, will be 2 pm Friday, September 28, 2007, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Schneider, minister of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Mrs Everitt was born October 16, 1904, in Springfield, MO the daughter of Walter and Martha Ellen Franklin and died Monday evening, September 24, 2007, at Greenbrier Nursing Home.

She grew up in Red Rock and attended schools there. She moved to Enid where she graduated from Enid High School and attended William Woods University in Fulton, MO.

Mrs Everitt married John Franklin Everitt in Guthrie on July 4, 1923. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1988.

Mrs. Everitt was a member of FA Chapter of PEO and at one time was an active member of Junior Welfare League and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs Everitt is survived by two grandsons, Jim Lovell of Castle Rock, CO and Doug Lovell of Enid. Also, two great granddaughters, Julie Hooley of Hennessey, OK and Sara Lovell of Albuquerque, N.M.; two great grandsons, Andrew Lucas of Sri Lanka and Daniel Lucas of Denver, CO; three great great grandchildren, Dylan and Nathan Hatchel and Wesley Gordon.br>
She was preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Everitt and daughter Virginia Lovell and several brothers.
