OBITUARY

The funeral services for Herman Ray Enyard, 75, of Enid, will be Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born April 21, 1931, in Knifley, Ky. to John and Tiney (Tucker) Enyard, and died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He attended local schools and graduated from high school in Knifley in 1949. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Korea during the conflict. On Sept. 4, 1955, he married Bettie Bauman in Enid. The couple was stationed in Morocco, and outside of Spokane, Washington. After leaving the military the couple made their home in Enid, where Herman worked for Coldiron’s. He then went to work for Vance Air Force Base as a supply inspector until his retirement over 40 years later. He was retired Air Force Reserve.

He was a member of Abundant Life Temple where he was an Elder and Deacon. He loved to work in his yard and garden.

He is survived by two sons, H. Ray Enyard and wife Wanda, of Leavenworth, Kan. and Earl Enyard and wife Monica, of Enid; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Pierce of Campbellsville, Ky.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also by Freda, his loving companion for 17 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Bettie, his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Abundant Life Temple.
