A Celebration of Life for Mark Emmerson, age 71, of Joplin, Missouri, is Wednesday, October 6, 2021 visitation from 6 pm to 7 pm at Ladusau Evans Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mark was born December 18, 1949 to Milo E and Rosemarie (Frahm) Emmerson in Oakland, California, and passed away after extensive health issues on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Joplin.

Mark married Vicki L. (Musser) Davis on February 14th, 1994, in Branson, Missouri. He worked crash rescue at the Vance Air Force Base Fire Department for 10 years, and then was a retail sales representative before moving to Missouri. He worked as a salesman in retail and hospitality businesses in Missouri for 16 years until he became disabled in 2010.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Milo E. Emmerson and Rosemarie Emmerson; his son Micah E. Emmerson; his brother, Patrick Emmerson; and his nephews Patrick Emmerson II and Michael Emmerson.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki L Davis, two children, Jesse Emmerson of Enid, OK; Aranda Gulick (Danny) of Enid; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mark liked traveling to the Caribbean beaches or cruising. He enjoyed fishing whether in the ocean, lake or stream and was always ready to take a child or new friend along. He liked the camaraderie of a bowling league and bowled for many years. He was the proud father and grandfather, enjoying the many accomplishments of all of his children and grandchildren. Mark was always a comedian and wanted to make others laugh and smile. He will be missed by all who loved and laughed with him.
