The funeral for Viola B. Elliott, 88, who died Tuesday in a local nursing home after a period of ill health, will be at 2 PM Thursday in Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Paul Enabnit Sr., minister of Davis Park Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Elliott was born June 14, 1894, in Essex, Iowa. She and Jasper A. Elliott were married June 22, 1921, in Red Oak, Iowa. They had lived in the Enid area since 1930.

Mrs. Elliott was a member of Davis Park Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Elliott, Enid, and Ray Elliott, Del City; one sister, Wilma Stoops, Denver, Colorado; one brother, Leonard Stoops, Albuquerque, New Mexico; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and eight great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper, in 1964.
