February 25, 1925 - November 28, 2019

A Celebration of Life Service for Robert "Bob" L. Elliott age 94 of Enid will be 10 am Monday December 2, 2019, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Don Tines officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bob was born February 25, 1925, in Yorktown, Iowa, to Jasper A. and Viola (Stoops) Elliott and passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, in Greenbrier Nursing Home. He lived in ST. Joseph, Missouri and Atchison, KS before moving to Oklahoma at the age of six. Robert and his parents lived in Garber and the Garber oil field, where he attended school at Garber and the Sinclair School for 11 years. He moved to Enid in 1942 and graduated Enid High School in 1943. He entered the Air Force in 1943 serving 2 ½ years most of which as an Aerial Gunnery instructor. After being discharged Bob came back to Enid working for Pillsbury Mills for three years at which he joined he Enid Fire Dept serving for 21 years, the last 2 ½ years as the chief of the department. After his retirement from EFD, Bob went to work for the Vance Fire Dept as a Fire Inspector working there for 11 years, the last five years as Chief of Tech Services retiring in 1981.

On June 1, 1950, Robert and Idabel VanBuskirk were married and she passed away April 8, 2007.

He is survived by his two sons; Dan Elliott and Joe Elliott, 4 grandchildren; Rob, Chad, Cole, and Starr, and 6 great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife and brother Ray Elliott.
