Neva Aline Easterly

Funeral for Neva Easterly, 87, of Hunter, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Neva was born to Johnathan and Zelda (Hughes) Sears on July 28, 1927, in Hunter, and passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Enid.

Neva grew up in Hunter and graduated from Hunter High School.

She married Ivan Lee Easterly on July 31, 1947, in Hunter, where they made their home.

Neva owned a grocery store in Hunter and worked a number of years as the head cook in the Hunter School System. Neva and Ivan farmed many years, side by side.

She is survived by her children, John Easterly of Hunter, LaVeta Kaiser of Wichita Falls, Texas, Vicky Beers of Owasso, and Kathy Bailey of Hunter; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Euna Mae Sears of Enid, and Veda Fae Moore of El Reno; and other relatives.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, and two sisters, Thelma LeGrand and Genevieve Johnson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF Alzheimer’s division.
