© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma February 18, 2011 March 17, 1918 ~ February 16, 2011 The graveside service for Margaret Elizabeth Easterly, age 92, will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, with Dr Sheila Combs-Francis officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Margaret was born to Merle and Hazel [Raines] Woody on March 17, 1918 in Caney, Kansas, and died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Enid. Margaret married Marvin S. Easterly on August 20, 1938 in Taloga. She graduated from Enid General Hospital [Bass] Nursing School in 1939. She worked her entire career at Bass Hospital, as a RN and then House Supervisor. Margaret retired in 1982, and then volunteered at Bass. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, where she was very active. Margaret is survived by daughter Barbara Carey of Enid, son Kenneth Easterly of Colorado, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and sister Wanda. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, and one grandson. |

© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma July 2, 2015 July 28, 1927 ~ June 30, 2015 Funeral for Neva Easterly, 87, of Hunter, Okla., will be 2 pm Friday, July 3, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Neva was born to Johnathan and Zelda [Hughes] Sears on July 28, 1927, in Hunter, and passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Enid. Neva grew up in Hunter and graduated from Hunter High School. She married Ivan Lee Easterly on July 31, 1947, in Hunter, where they made their home. Neva owned a grocery store in Hunter and worked a number of years as the head cook in the Hunter School System. Neva and Ivan farmed many years, side by side. She is survived by her children, John Easterly of Hunter, LaVeta Kaiser of Wichita Falls, Texas, Vicky Beers of Owasso, and Kathy Bailey of Hunter; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Euna Mae Sears of Enid, and Veda Fae Moore of El Reno; and other relatives. Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, and two sisters, Thelma LeGrand and Genevieve Johnson. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF Alzheimer's division.
