February 3, 1967 - December 31, 2023

The celebration of life for Lori (Dillingham) Evans, 56 year-old Enid resident will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 1:30 PM in the Westminster Church in Enid, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Tracy Evans officiating. A private family burial will precede the celebration at Memorial Park under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Lori was born February 3, 1967 in Enid to Dan L. Dillingham and Kay C. Dillingham and died Sunday, December 31, 2023, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Lori attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School, graduating with the class of 1985. She then attended Pepperdine University before transferring to Oklahoma State University where she obtained Her Bachelor of Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Counseling.

On June 19, 1993, she married John Patrick Evans II in the First Presbyterian Church in Enid. The couple made their first home in Edmond, where Lori taught Elementary Education at St. John's Christian Heritage Academy, Putnam City North and then Clegern Elementary School in Edmond. A few years later, they returned to Enid where they owned and operated Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler.

She was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. Lori was an All-State Basketball Player for Enid High School from 1982-1985. While at Oklahoma State University she and her team won the All-College intermural championship against O.U. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and her sweet "sisters" were always amazing about keeping in touch with her through the years.

She is survived by her son John Patrick III of Edmond, mother Kay Dillingham of Enid, sister Andria Dillingham Gingrich of The Woodlands, TX, brothers/sisters-in-law Jed and Cathy Dillingham, Peter and Annie Dillingham, Chad and Lisa Dillingham all of Enid, Tracy Evans and Nick and Kristin Linholm, of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her father Dan L. Dillingham and her former husband Packy Evans.

The family wishes to express their heart-felt gratitude to all of Lori's Doctors and Caregivers who were all so loving and such a great blessing in her life. Also, to her many dear friends that were always great at lifting her spirits and enriching her life!
