September 9, 1931 ~ March 19, 2006


A graveside service for Kathryn Delores Dugan, 74, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.

She was born September 9, 1931, in Enid to Jacob and Delta Baker Herber and died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Kingfisher Hospital.

She graduated from Garber High School.

She moved to Redlands, Calif., where she was the first female manager of a Firestone Tire Store.

She married Alvin Dugan in 1983, at Redlands. They moved to Enid in 1988, and to Okarche in 1989.

Surviving are her husband, Alvin of the home.

She was preceded in death by 12 sisters and brothers.

Jackie Dale "Jack" Dugan
January 2, 1934 ~ April 21, 2009


The funeral service for Jack Dale Dugan, 75, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Shorty Unruh officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Jack was born to Luther Earnest and Ruby Irene [Angel] Dugan Jan. 22, 1934, in Center, Okla., and died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Enid.

He moved to Borger, Texas, where he attended high school and met the love of his life, Nettie Maxine McWhorter.

On February 9, 1952, he married Maxine in Borger, Texas.

He entered the United State Air Force October 4, 1955, and served until May 7, 1962.

They moved to Enid, where he worked as an air craft mechanic at Vance Air Force Base for several years and then worked at Champlin Refinery.

They moved to Eufaula Lake, where he started Jack's Small Engine Repair until his retirement. He attended church at Checotah Church of Christ. In 1996, they moved back to Enid, and in 2008, they moved to Golden Oaks.

Jack was a member of several coffee clubs and enjoyed fishing and treasure hunting.

The greatest joy of his life was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Dugan, of the home; three daughters, Dalene Hueppelsheuser and husband Jerry of Enid, Karon Cross and husband Donnie of Manford, Okla., and Susan Purdy and husband Vernon of Enid; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, Dean Dugan of Missouri and Jerry Dugan of Arkansas; and two sisters, Elva Griffin Cheatwood of Oklahoma City and Clara Darnell of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimers division.

Nettie Maxine [McWhorter] Dugan CNA
January 14, 1937 ~ June 16, 2018


Funeral service for Maxine Dugan, 81 of Enid, will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Jeff Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangement by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Maxine was born on January 14, 1937 in Haskell County, Texas to Grady and Marie [Hancock] McWhorter and passed away on June 16, 2018 in Enid.

Maxine married Jack Dugan on February 9, 1952. They began married life in Borger, Texas. Maxine and Jack had three beautiful daughters before making Enid, Oklahoma their home.

She loved gardening, sewing, crafts, and decorating cakes.

She worked as a CNA at the Enid Memorial Hospital in the OB department. Maxine loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an amazing seamstress. Maxine loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; one sister; two brother-in-laws; and one grandson.

She is survived by her children, Dalene [Jerry] Hueppelsheuser, Karon [Donnie] Cross, and Susan [Vernon] Purdy; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, Donald [Millie] McWhorter; and two sisters, Francis Woods and Paula Stricklin.

John Richard "Doogie"


ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for John Richard “Doogie” Dugan, 47, will be at 2 p.m. today, February 12, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

John was born to Albert and Faye Glenda [Willis] Dugan on September 9, 1966, in Oklahoma City, and died Sunday, February 9, 2014, in Enid.

John was very sweet and passive, and was a person who others gravitated to because of his calming demeanor. He loved watching action movies and chewing gum.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brother, Homer Dugan of Missouri; his best friend, Eddie Bradshaw of the home; his family at Evergreen; and his guardians, Emily and John Wolf.
