Mildred Hazel [Jones] Douglas
February 28, 1931 ~ October 29, 2007


A graveside service for Mildred Hazel Douglas, 76, will be 2 pm Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev Floyd Westfall and Bobby Jones will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born February 28, 1931, in Garber to Thomas J. and Imogene Nixon Jones and died Monday, October 29, 2007, in Memphis, Tenn.

She attended school in Garber and lived most her life in Enid.

She married Early Douglas October 1, 1954.

Surviving are three sons, Ray Douglas of Woodward, and Clifford Douglas and Rick Williams, both of California; two daughters, Peggy Riggs of Oklahoma and Sue Miller of Millington, Tenn.; two sisters, Betty Walters and Billie J. Hopkins, both of Enid; one brother, Bobby Jones; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Early; one son; one sister; one brother; and one granddaughter.

Theda Collene [Cook] Douglas
October 6, 1941 ~ March 27, 2013


The celebration of life service for Theda Collene Douglas, 71, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Willow View United Methodist Church, 3525 W. Purdue, Enid, with the Rev. Lesly Broadbent officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Theda was born to Ray Vellington and Jewelle Nona [Larimore] Cook on Oct. 6, 1941, in Wellington, Kan., and passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Enid, Okla.

Theda attended and graduated from Wellington High School.

She married LeRoy F. Myers March 31, 1957. They made their home in Wellington, Kan. To this union two children were born.

Theda later married Donald F. Douglas in 1973, and resided in Ponca City, where she worked at Walmart.

In 2012, she moved to Meadows Point Apartments in Enid. She was a member of Rainbows and the Order of Pythian Sisters of Kansas.

As a child she was baptized into the Baptist Church, and after moving to Enid she attended Willow View United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family and friends, and attending the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. She loved spending time on Facebook keeping up on the lives of family and friends.

Theda is survived by daughter, Shirley Gettings of Enid; son, Theron Myers [Cynthia] of Ponca City; brother, Rodney Cook of Lenexa, Kan.; sister, Sharon Everest [Bud] of Maricopa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Leatha [Joshua] Crews, and Natisha [Jarod] Wells, both of Enid, Okla., Tonya [David] Stringer of Azle, Texas., Adam [Neena] Myers, Nicole [Matt] Lairmer, Traci [Marcus] Golay, Tyler [Jessica] Myers, all of Ponca City; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and her companion, "Peppy."

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and sister, Nancy Hebb.

At her request she will be cremated after the service. Inurnment will be in Enid Memorial Cemetery, Enid, Okla.

J. Bruce Douglas
January 22, 1942 ~ May 11, 2006


Funeral services for J. Bruce Douglas, 64, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Michael Frisbie will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 22, 1942, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to Russell and Eileen [Shoemaker] Douglas and died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at his home.

He was raised in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Columbus West High School.

He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1958. He was in the Air Force Band as a singer and drummer.

He married Violet O'Neal June 5, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Enid in 1971.

He owned and operated Douglas Freight and Forwarding Inc. for 25 years. He was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vi, of the home; daughter, Sandra Robinett and husband Brad of Enid; stepson, Rick Morris Jr of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Falon and Payton Robinett and Ricky Morris; one sister, Winnie Ary and husband Earl of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-laws Harvey O'Neal and wife Ollie of Enid, Ernest O'Neal of Enid, Robert O'Neal and wife Joan of Enid, Cecil O'Neal and wife Ruth of Ohio; sister-in-law, Cleva Beelendorf of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Eileen and Bill Loving. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, cancer division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.

Linda Lorraine [Hytla] Douglas
January 31, 1967 ~ December 26, 2023


Funeral services for Linda [Hytla] Douglas, age 56, of Enid, will be 3:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2024 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Long officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Linda Lorraine Douglas [Hytla] was born on January 31, 1967, to Martin and Coqusetta [Lane] Hytla in Bakersfield, California. She moved to Enid, Oklahoma with her family in 1969.

She attended Enid Public Schools graduating from Enid High. She worked as a CNA, night manager at Taco Bell, and the past three years as a cashier. Linda enjoyed going to the casino, sewing, and just being in the comfort of her own home.

Linda departed this earth on December 26, 2023. She leaves behind her partner Tommy Barett, a daughter Nicole Higgins, and her son Martin Douglas, all of Enid, Oklahoma. Two sisters, Lynn Bocox of Texas, and Kayella Merry of Enid, Oklahoma, and one brother William Hytla of Cushing, Oklahoma. As well, as four grand kids and one great grandbaby, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda is proceeded in death by her daughter Rachel Douglas, her parents Martin and Coqusetta Hytla, maternal grandparents Darrel and Berniece Lane, and paternal grandparents William Hytla and Betty Kelly.
