Enid, Oklahoma April 2019 September 26, 1937 ~ April 17, 2019 Treva Nelsine Dick, born September 26, 1937, peacefully passed away April 17, 2019. Treva was born in Salina, OK, to Henry Nelson Boatright and Vernice Clona [Smith] Boatright. The family later moved to a farm in Drummond, OK, where she attended school and graduated in 1955. She was a member of the girls basketball team. She loved the game and was an excellent player. She worked at Consumers Co-op Association, which became Farmland Industries. She later transferred to Imo Grain Elevator as a bookkeeper, where she worked for more than 26 years and retired in 1991. Farmland is where she met Melvin H. Dick and married on April 22, 1961. They had one child, Shelly Kay. She and Melvin lived in Enid until 2015 when they moved to Texas to be with their daughter. They were fortunate to be able to travel and enjoyed square dancing for 25 years where they met and made many long lasting friendships. They are members of the Christian Church of the Covenant. She was chairman of several committees and handled various other duties at the church for many years. Treva was always the bright light in the room. Anyone that met her loved her. She was an extremely giving person, and you could never stay one up on her. She loved watching all sports and knew more about each one than any man ever could. Family was the most important thing to her and she always made sure everyone was taken care of all the time. She was very close with her daughter and sister. She had a special relationship with her handicapped brother, Dale, and niece Amanda Boatright Holt. There are no words to express the feelings of joy that she brought to so many lives and the loss so many will feel that she has moved on. She will be dearly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Chet Boatright and her sister Bobbie Lemmons. She is survived by her husband, Melvin, her daughter Shelly Keeling & husband Gary, her grandson Brandon Brunke, her grandson Kyle Keeling and wife Myla, her brother Dale Boatright, many nieces, nephews and cousins. |

© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma Dece,ber 7, 2016 January 7, 1938 ~ December 4, 2016 A Celebration of Life for Billie Louise Dick, 78, Enid, is 10 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Mr Michael Nelson, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today, December 7, 2016, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Billie was born January 7, 1938, in Cherokee, the daughter of Ralph and Ruth Smith Elwell, and passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016. Billie was united in marriage to Ray Devereaux and he preceded her in death. She then married Ira Dick and he also preceded her in death. She was employed by Carmen Nursing Home, Helena Nursing Home, and then at the State Boys Home in Helena. She continued to work there there in food service when it became a prison. Billie was a member of Oakwood Christian Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making dolls. She will be remembered as a very generous person, who always put others before herself. Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Dian Kirkpatrick and her husband, Terry, of Enid; a son, Ken Ray Devereaux, of Enid; seven grandchildren, Kandi Brown, Kila Greinert, Sydine Licklighter, McKinzie Devereaux, Kendra Stella, Blake Thilsted and Paige Devereaux; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Devereaux; her parents; and a sister, Pat Steiger. Memorial contributions may be made to the Enid SPCA, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
