Vada Marie [Jantz] Decker
November 21, 1922 ~ December 16, 2014


Funeral service for Vada Marie Decker is 2 p.m. today, December 18, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Dave Jones will officiate.

Vada was born and raised on the family farm, one mile south of Meno, to John and Mary [Becker] Jantz on November 21, 1922, and passed away in Enid, Okla., on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.

Vada attended local schools and graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 1940.

On November 15, 1942, she married Leonard Decker. They were married for 57 years at his passing in 1999.

She graduated from Beaches Beauty School in 1958. She owned and operated her beauty shop for 50 years.

Vada is survived by two sons, Ronnie Decker and wife Betty of Meno, Okla., and Terry Decker and wife Rae of Enid; sister, Wanda Koehn of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; daughter, Janie Shelton; sister, Ruby Everett; and brother, Aldee Jantz.

Memorial donations can be made to OMRF with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.

Helen Anna "Sue" [Bacher] Decker
February 16, 1935 ~ April 5, 2013


The celebration of life for Helen Sue Decker, 78 year-old Enid resident will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2:00PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kevin Strope will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Sue was born February 16, 1935 in Pond Creek, Oklahoma to Chris and Vera [Zander] Bacher and died Friday, April 5, 2013 in the Commons.

She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School.

She worked at the Youngblood Hotel in the Caf.

She then attended Enid Business College and the Nursing program at Autry Vo-Tech. She worked as a nurses aid at St Marys Hospital for over forty years. She received her forty year pin in 2011.

She also worked as a greeter at the Maxwell House after her shift at the hospital was over.

Sue was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She attended the Cowboy Church as well.

She enjoyed traveling to Eureka Springs and Branson.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to the Bible on tape. She also loved her animals.

She is survived by her son, Danny Alexander and wife Martha of Georgia. Her daughter Tammy Vasquez and husband Mark, of Enid. 10 grandchildren; Micha, Tess, Chris, Jon, Tarsia, Chris, Mark, Desirea, Alissa, and Tanner. 17 great grandchildren. Three brothers, Chris and Mel Bacher, and David Hudson, one sister, Edna Klingenberg. Also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Robert.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF [Lung Cancer Division].

Elizabeth B. [Shores] Decker
March 23, 1935 ~ May 19, 2015


Funeral service for Elizabeth B. [Shores] Decker, 80, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 am Friday, May 22, 2015, at North Garland Church of Christ, with the Rev Gordon Jantz officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family is 6-7 pm today, May 21, at the funeral home.

Elizabeth was born March 23, 1935, in Enid to Benson Henry "Ben" and Ruby Mae [Bossart] Shores and died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in Enid.

She grew up on a farm in Kremlin, Okla., and graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1953. She then attended and graduated from Enid Business College.

She married Clarence Feely on June 9, 1953.

They moved over the years to where Clarence was stationed before returning to Oklahoma in 1961, to be near family. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1968.

She married Troy LeVoy Decker in Enid and they made their home on the family farm.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Calvina Elizabeth and husband Garry Osburn of Enid; daughter-in-law, Patricia Feely of Coral Springs, Fla.; grandsons, Nathanial Feely, Rustin Osburn and fiancée Faith Kincheloe and baby Aaleyah, Daniel Osburn and fiancee Katie Boese and child, Zayne.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharron Louise Feely; son, Billy Dennis Feely in May 2014; brothers, Calvin, Marvin and Melvin; and her parents.

Memorials may be made to North Garland Church of Christ, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.

Linda Rae "Penny" Decker
July 3, 1952 ~ September 25, 1968


Funeral services for Linda Rae "Penny" Decker, 2505 E. Oak, will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Paul H. Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Miss Decker died Wednesday from injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.

She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in California. She came to Enid from Petaluma, California, in November 1967 and was currently a junior at Enid high school.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs Mildred Decker, Enid; father, John O. Decker, Enid; one brother, Gary of the home at 2505 E. Oak, and one half – sister, Mrs Maxine Norriex, Garden Grove, California.

Troy Edward Decker
August 9, 1955 ~ September 14, 2017


Troy Edward Decker was born August 9, 1955, in Enid, Oklahoma. He passed from this earth on September 4, 2017, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Troy lived most of his life in Enid, only the last few months residing in Muskogee.

He was a roughneck and a painter by trade.

Troy is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary and Jack Barker, maternal grandparents, Jack and Bertha Winters, paternal grandparents, John and Mamie Decker, and his sister, Mona White.

Troy is survived by his son, Christopher Decker, of Lincoln, Nebraska; his father, Troy Levoy Decker; brother, Jerry and wife, Joy, of Enid; and three sisters, Linda Decker-Rhodes, Mary Smith and husband, Phillip, and Jackie Barker, all of Guthrie.

Viewing will be Monday, September 18, 9:00AM to 5:00 PM through Thursday, at 2:00 PM, at Community Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Troy will be in the chapel at Community Funeral Home, 1624 N. Pine Street, Guthrie, Thursday, September 21, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Pallbearers for Troy's service will be Jerry Decker, Daniel Carpenter, Phillip Smith Sr, Phillip Smith Jr, Emily Smith, and Stanley Custard.
