Burial is Tuesday, Jan 29th, 1:30 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK. In lieu of funeral services, a Celebration of Life is planned for late Spring, to be announced at a later date. Floyd was born October 20, 1934, to Troy and Gussie Nickelson-Dalton in Mulhall, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully January 24, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma. Floyd is remembered for his love of music and the way he shared his music through his own talents and recordings. Floyd is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, parents, Troy and Gussie, four brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter. He is survived by his three daughters and one son, Gloria Deitz and husband Byron, Rose Vickers, Marilyn Mason and husband Kevin, and Floyd Dalton Jr. He leaves behind five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother, Leonard and a sister, Deloris Buck. |

Dalton, 74, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be 5:30-7 pm today at the funeral home. Hazel was born to William Eugene and Minnie Ethyl [Chaffin] Mantz on December 18, 1938, in Woodward, Okla., and passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in Enid. Hazel grew up in Woodward, and moved to Enid in 1952. On October 8, 1954, she married Floyd Dalton in Wichita Falls, Texas, and they made their home in Enid. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business. Hazel enjoyed crocheting, knitting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her brothers, David Headlee and Eugene Mantz. Hazel is survived by her husband, Floyd Dalton of the home; four children, Gloria J. Deitz [Byron] of Tomball, Texas, Rose M. Vickers [Vic] of Tuttle, Floyd D. Dalton Jr, and Marilyn J. Mason [Kevin], all of Enid; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Avana Decker of Meno, and Iola Gonzales of Enid; two brothers, Leon Headlee of Lubbock, Texas, and Oris Headlee of Lumberton, Texas. |

© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma November 5, 2014 September 23, 1942 ~ November 3, 2014 Funeral services for Pastor Alvin Leon Dalton, 72, Enid, will be held 2 pm Thursday, November 6, 2014, in the House of Prayer with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Pastor Dalton was born on September 23, 1942, in Coyle, Oklahoma, the son of Troy and Gussie Nicholson Dalton, and went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2014. He moved to Enid when he was 8 and attended Enid Schools, later attending Phillips University. Pastor Dalton served House of Prayer as youth minister, later associate pastor, and upon the passing of his father-in-law, became senior pastor. Pastor Dalton married Carolyn Sue Murdy in Enid on April 10, 1965. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue of the residence; daughter, Darla and husband, Alan Robbins of Sapulpa; brothers, Floyd and Leonard, both of Enid; sisters, Naomi Rand and Deloris Buck, both of Enid; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the House of Prayer with Pastor Tony Hays officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Carolyn Sue was born June 21, 1948 in Enid, OK to Archie and Veda [See] Murdy and passed away March 4, 2016 in Enid, OK. She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High in 1966. Carolyn Sue married Alvin Dalton April 10, 1965. She was a secretary for the House of Prayer organization for many years and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Customer Service Representative. Carolyn Sue enjoyed traveling; she was very loyal to her church family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn Sue is survived by her daughter, Darla Robbins and husband, Alan of Sapulpa, OK; two brothers, Archie Murdy Jr and wife, Charlene of Oklahoma City; Steve Murdy and wife, Mary Lou of Colorado; nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Carla Raushi. Memorials may be made to the House of Prayer with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund. |
