Bernhard Raleigh "Ben" Dalke
July 7, 1911 ~ July 5, 2007


The funeral for Ben Raleigh Dalke, 95, of Enid, will be 2 pm Monday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Revs Steve Williams and Everett Ohls will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born July 7, 1911, in Enid to Peter L. and Elizabeth Regier Dalke and died Thursday, July 5, 2007, in Enid.

He grew up in Enid and attended Enid schools.

He married Meurle Lula Scott March 11, 1934, in Bison. They made their home in Enid.

He worked for Union Equity for 30 years, where he was an assistant supervisor of Elevator B.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 65 years.

Surviving are his wife, Meurle, of the home; two sons, Bob Dalke of Enid and Gerald Dalke of Edmond; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Calvary Baptist Church.

Meurle Lula Scott Dalke
November 23, 1910 ~ May 29, 2009


Daughter of the late Jesse L. and Lyda M. Pearson Scott, she was the widow of Bernhard Raleigh Dalke, married March 11, 1934, in Bison, OK.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Enid, OK, for 67 years where she taught second grade Sunday School for many years.

She was survived by two sons, Bob Dalke and Gerald Dalke; one sister, Dorthy Rikli; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Her funeral was held June 1, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church with The Rev Steve Williams and The Rev Everett Ohls officiating.
