Cummings, 90, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 pm Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, with the Revs Scot Whittenburg and Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Velma was born January 28, 1924, on the family farm in Breckinridge, Okla., to John and Marria Heitfeld Breitenkamp and passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at The Commons Methodist Care Center. She attended grade school in Breckinridge and later graduated from Garber High School in 1942. Velma married Alfred Cummings on September 25, 1943, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge. He passed away November 21, 1986. Velma worked at Kress Dime Store and later as the accounts payable clerk at the Enid Stockyard for 15 years. She worked at JCPenney during Christmas time, wrapping presents for many years. Velma was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge, and later joined Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was very active in LWML. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a founding member of the Texiana Home Extension Club. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Duffield and husband Mike of Tulsa, and Jo Williams and husband Ted of Afton, Okla.; grandchildren, Geoff and Angie Duffield, Jennifer Duffield, Travis Williams, Aaron Williams and Ashley Williams; great grandchildren, Allison, Geoffrey, Sarah and Mackenna; great great grandson, Kaleb Smith; sister, Helen Fischer; and many nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Reva Cummings, three brothers and a sister. Millard was born October 28, 1924 in Ames, Oklahoma to Fred and Bernice [Welch] Cummings and died Sunday, December 9, 2012 in St Mary's Regional Medical Center. He attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1943 from Enid High School. He turned down a football scholarship to Michigan and attended O.U. where he played tackle. He graduated from O.U. with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and as an Ensign in the United States Navy. On May 9, 1949, he married Agnes Brady in Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Enid, where Millard worked as a chief pipe-line engineer for Champlin Refinery for over 26 years. He was a member of Saint Gregory's, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. He loved to read westerns, play the daily jumble puzzle, and shoot pool. He is survived by his wife Agnes, of the home, his sons; James Cummings and wife Darlene of Houston,TX., Robert "Bob" Cummings and wife Darlene of Red River, NM., and Richard Cummings and wife Donna of Edmond, OK. His daughter Sheryl and husband Frank Severin of Meno, OK. 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great grandson, Jaxson, one granddaughter, Angela, and three brothers, Don and Alfred,and Verlin, and one sister, Neva. Reverend Mark Mason will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00p.m. today, followed by visitation until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Agnes was born September 13, 1929, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Frank and Agnes [McCormick)] Brady and died April 20, 2021, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center. She graduated from Grove High School. On May 9, 1949, she married Millard Cummings at Ssint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Enid. Agnes was a telephone operator for a number of years. In 1991, she retired from Midwest Oil. Being a member of Saint Gregory's, she was very involved in many activities including the Altar Society. Agnes was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW. She enjoyed taking care of her family, was an excellent seamstress and a loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard; her parents; granddaughter, Angela; great grandson, Jaxson, and all of her siblings. Agnes is survived by her children, James Cummings and wife Darlene of Houston, TX; Robert "Bob" Cummings and wife, Darlene of Nederland, CO; Richard Cummings and wife, Donna of Edmond, OK; daughter, Sheryl Severin and husband, Frank of Meno, OK; twelve grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Rev Wade Burleson will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born December 11, 1929, in Winters, Texas, to Andrew and Bertha Fleming Cummings and died Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City. He grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he graduated from Bob Jones University. He received his master’s degree in communications at Wheaton College and an honorary doctorate from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. He married Mary Lee Warren, January 7, 1955, in Flint, Mich. He entered the mission field in 1955 in Ecuador where he worked at the HCJB radio station for more than 50 years. They returned to Enid in 2000 and lived at Golden Oaks. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lee of the home; two sons, Richard Cummings of El Mirage, Ariz., and Donald Cummings of Carrollton, Texas; one daughter, Cathy Gehman of Edgewood, Ariz.; one brother, Billy Cummings of Laredo, Texas; and six grandchildren. She was born October 2, 1953 in Enid to Alfred and Velma Breitenkamp Cummings and died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Kenwood Manor. At age 6, she was placed in Enid State School. She moved to Gateway Home in Stillwater at age 21 and returned to Enid and Kenwood Manor in 2003. She was a member of Breckinrodge Immanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are her mother, Velma Cummings and two sisters, Kay Duffield of Tulsa and Jo Williams of Altus. She was preceded in death by her father. |

Bobby was born December 13, 1955, in Enid, Okla., to Don and Verna Jo Cummings and passed away Monday, November 11, 2013, at his home. He was raised in Enid, where he attended Enid High School. Bobby married Karrie Wells March 20, 1976, in Enid. Bobby started work for the Frisco/Burlington Railroad, worked for Pillsbury/ADM for 20 years, worked for Double Check for 5 years and then worked for Farmrail as a conductor/engineer until ill health forced him to retire. Bobby was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Bobby is survived by his wife, Karrie of the home; two daughters, Claire Smith and husband Mark of Hennessey, and Madeline Cummings of Stillwater; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Macee, Haley, Armani, Trevin, Jazzlyn and Jada; parents, Don and Verna Jo Cummings of Bartlesville; sister, Vickie and husband Donnie Gravlee of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Randy and wife Tammy of Bartlesville, and Wayne and wife Tanya Cummings of Tulsa; and several other family members. Memorials may be made to Ross Health Care, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
