Rose Marie Culp was born March 21, 1923, in Perry, OK, the daughter of Elmer Edwin Hicks and Elizabeth (Knepper) Hicks and died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Rose grew up and attended schools around Perry where she later graduated high school.

While Rose was raising her children she worked at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center as a bookkeeper for many years. In her later life she ran a very successful resort in Grove, OK, called the Colonial Heights Resort.

Rose enjoyed many things in life and tried about everything. She was a very crafty person and enjoyed everything from painting to crocheting. The one thing that she really enjoyed was telling people what to do. Rose loved to attend church and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Booth of Enid, OK, and Sandra Taber and her husband Frank of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Coralee Baker of Florida and Louise of Perry, OK; three brothers, Danny Hodge of Perry, OK, Jack Hodge and Robert Ray Hodge; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Ray Allen Moore, two sisters, and one brother.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory through Henninger-Allen Funeral Home to Calvary Assembly of God Church.
