HILLSDALE — Funeral service for Fredith V. Crouse, of Hillsdale, will be 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at the Hillsdale Bible Church, with Pastor Bob Courtney and Pastor Ken Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson - Burris Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home.

Fredith was born to Fred L. and Ruth Moore Olbert May 26, 1918, at Homestead, OK, and died at age 93, on July 29, 2011, in Enid.

After her father was discharged from the U.S. Army in World War I, she moved with her parents to a farm in the Kremlin community. She attended grade school at Nine Mile School and graduated as valedictorian from Hillsdale High School. On August 19, 1936, she married Leland Beldon Crouse, the son of Elmer and Essie Crouse. They made their home north of Hillsdale on a farm. Leland died August 20, 1976. Two sons, Leland Brent and Dan Bradley, were born to this union. Fredith was a Christian and a member of the Hillsdale Bible Church. She was a member of the Garfield County MB Home Extension Club for 50 years. She served as soloist, choir director, Sunday school teacher, deaconess and Bible School worker in her church fellowship. She served 10 years as a secretary of the Hillsdale Christian School Board of Education.

Fredith is survived by her two sons and their families: Brent and wife Pat of Hillsdale, their children Matt Crawford and wife Christine of Ardmore, Cara and husband Michael Hawkins of Prosper, TX, and Cassy and husband Kevin Deehan of Midlothian, TX, and Dan and wife Vicky of Hillsdale, their children Tory, Danielle, and Jennifer and husband Cale Grauberger of Enid; 11 great grandchildren; sister Edith Hutchinson of Enid; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Shrewsbury, Francis Wilson, and Ella May Schultz.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hillsdale Christian School or Hillsdale Bible Church. Condolences may be made at www.andersonburris.com.
