© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma January 4, 2021 October 5, 1921 ~ January 2, 2021 Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Glenda Maxine Crawford, 99, passed from this world on January 2, 2021, at her home in Norman, Oklahoma. Maxine was born on October 5, 1921, in Aline, Oklahoma, to the late Ray and Fay Elkins. At age 5, she moved with her family to the Elkins farm and attended schools in Enid. She attended Sunny Slopes Grade School and she graduated from Enid High School. It was during her high school junior year she met her one true love, Donald Theodore Crawford. They married on July 6, 1941, and were blessed to have four children and celebrate 60 years of marriage. They made wonderful memories together with their families and friends. Maxine and Ted were charter members of University Christian Church and both were actively involved. Maxine spent time working outside of the home at local dental offices and at Professional Boutique and Coiffures. She found time to enjoy her children, make her famous cookies, grow beautiful hydrangeas and paint many of the beautiful paintings displayed in her home. She was also an excellent seamstress, making clothes for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Pat Feuerborn Cain and her husband Steve of Norman; son, David Crawford and his wife Thea of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Greg Feuerborn, Kevin Feuerborn, Graham Crawford and wife Flora, and Ashlynn Crawford; great grandson, Nolan Crawford; and nephew Calvin and wife Emma Lee Henneke. Maxine's kindness, care for others, her generosity and her love will be missed by many. Now she is experiencing her reward with those preceding her in death, her husband, Ted Crawford; sister, LaVon Henneke; son, Donald Crawford; daughter, Sandra Crawford; and grandson, Nolan Crawford. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman, OK. The service will be live-streamed via the link on Maxine's tribute page at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma August 30, 2022 December 22, 1927 ~ August 26, 2022 The services celebrating and honoring the life of Evlyn Crawford, 94, Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the First Baptist Church of Enid. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. A family visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The family requests those attending the service and visitation to wear masks. The service will be livestreamed on the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Facebook Page. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Evlyn was born on December 22, 1927, in Stockton, California, the daughter of Royal M. Robinson and Alice A. Butler Robinson, and died in Enid on August 26, 2022. Evlyn was raised in Belva, Oklahoma, and later moved to Enid and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1945. She attended Phillips University and graduated from the St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1968. She worked as a Registered Nurse and obtained specialized training in oncology nursing and enterostomal therapy. She was the first ET in Northwest Oklahoma, caring for ostomy patients in regional hospitals and providing wound care in senior living centers. She served as regional representative of the American Cancer Society, co-founder and eleven-year Board member of Enid's Hospice Circle of Love, and founding board member for community continuing education organization. She volunteered with the American Red Cross and served on medical teams for mission trips to India. In 1993, she was honored as Woman of Achievement for Community Service by the March of Dimes' Enid Chapter. She retired in 1997 after sixteen years of service at St Mary's Hospital. Evlyn valued each person she encountered and believed deeply that "To the world, you might be one person, but to one person, you just might be the world." She is survived by her son David Crawford and his spouse Sharon Mook, her son Steven Crawford, her granddaughter Cameron Crawford-Mook, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Eugene Crawford, her husband of 47 years, and her brother Donald Robinson. Memorial contributions in Evlyn's name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Our Daily Bread, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. Enid, Oklahoma February 2025 July 10, 1929 ~ February 23, 2025 Syl was born July 10, 1929 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Delbert and Marcel [Smith] Crawford, and passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home in Enid. He graduated from Lindsay High School with the class of 1947. He married Dorlaine Burch on October 10, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas. He worked in the oilfield for a while, then began working for C.E. Loomis Furniture Company in Enid, where he learned his trade as a carpet layer. He eventually went into business for himself operating Syl Crawford Carpet Service retiring after 50 years. He loved to hunt and fish with family and friends; he also was an avid stock car racing fan. Poor health did not keep Syl out of the woods during deer season; this year he harvested a buck during black powder season, and a doe during bonus doe season. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Syl Crawford, Jr., a daughter, Susan Crawford; two grandsons, Tony and Levi Crawford. |

Crawford, 77-year-old Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. today, November 19, 2008, in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Bill was born September 7, 1931, in Alva, Okla., to Crestel and Dell [Corson] Crawford and passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He attended rural school in the Alva area. In 1947, he joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1951. He moved to Enid after the service and began working for Ralph's Auto Salvage in 1952. On January 26, 1957, he married Hazel Cash in Cherokee, Okla. The couple made their home in Enid. She preceded him in death in 1966. He is survived by his daughter Pamela Lhotka and husband Myke of Enid; one grandson, Justin Young and wife Hollie of Enid; and one great-granddaughter, Raeanna, also of Enid. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Donna. |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma February 12, 2015 September 12, 1944 ~ December 15, 2015 Funeral service for James Roy Crawford will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Jim was born Sepember 12, 1944, in Moline, Il., to James Clinton and Marion "Lucille" [Metz] Crawford and called home to Heaven on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He attended school in Ark City, Kansas, and entered the Navy in 1963. While stationed in Long Beach, Calif., he met and married Terry Bowling. They settled in Enid, Okla., in 1969, where they raised their five children, though they later separated. A few years later, he met Vickey O’Neal, and they combined their families with their wedding on July 7, 2007, and enjoyed many happy memories over the last few years of his life. He had many talents and hobbies, but the greatest of these was music. He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, three sisters and three nephews. He is survived by wife, Vickey; ex-wife and Vickey's wife-in-law, Terry; daughter, Tani Mahaffey and husband Shawn; daughter, Jamie Foster and husband Tracy; son, Seamus Crawford and wife Erin; daughter, Erin Chappell and husband Kevin; daughter, Rebecca Crawford, all of Enid; daughter, Kristy Price of Welch, Okla.; son, Bill Williams and wife Terrie of Oklahoma City; daughter, Pamela Barton of Mustang; daughter, Johnnie Rust and husband Steve of Enid; daughter, Amanda Pugh and husband James of Enid; daughter, Christy Juttner of Mississippi; 27 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews. Darlene was born on February 10, 1953 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Roy Reece Jr and Nina [Moore] Reece and passed away on March 21, 2023 in Richmond, Texas with her family by her side. She grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School. Darlene moved to Enid, and became a mom to Kyle. In 1993, she met her soulmate, Floyd Guernsey and they have been together ever since. Darlene was a book keeper for K&M Engineering until her retirement. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling and shopping. Darlene volunteered with Fur Ever Friends and was a member of Enid Noon Ambucs. She loved spending time with her adopted family. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and two fur babies, Sassy and Lucy. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Guernsey; son, Kyle and wife, Katie Crawford; sisters, Donna and Diane; fur baby, Bella; adopted family, Marsha, Diane, Debbie, Dana, and David; and many friends.
