Mass of Christian Burial for Bob Costello, 56, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Enid High School Auditorium. The Rev. Larry Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 15, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Robert and Elizabeth Martin Costello and died Saturday, April 26, 2003. He attended West Philadelphia Catholic High School for boys, graduating in 1964. He joined the Air Force and served from 1964 to 1968. He was honorably discharged as an sergeant and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze devices. He earned a bachelor of music education degree from Phillips University in 1976 and his master's of education degree in 1982. He directed Valiant Knights, a local drum and bugle corps from 1970 to 1981 and was band director at Waukomis from 1976 to 1980. He then accepted the band director position at Enid High School, which he held until his death. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and director of Oklahoma Music Ambassadors a European tour of honor music students, both choral and instrumental since 1997. He also was on the board of directors for Tri-State Music Festival and a member of Phi Beta Mu, a band directors fraternity

Surviving are his wife, Kayle of the home; three children, Debbie E. Costello of San Diego, Dallas C. Smith of Weatherford and Nicole J. Costello of Enid. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Donna.
