Myrl "Dean" Cornforth
January 14, 1948 ~ December 17, 2024


Myrl Dean Cornforth was born on January 14, 1948, in Enid and entered his final rest on December 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City after a short illness.

Dean grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School.

He then enlisted and served in the United States Air Force.

He married Goldina Kennedy in 1967 and they had two sons, Jamie and Jay.

Dean later married Sharon Kay Griffith on June 7, 1977 in Enid and they had two children, Holly and Jacob.

Dean is survived by his sons, Jamie and wife Kim, Jay and wife Misty, Jacob Cornforth and daughter Holly Willson and husband Nate. He also has a sister, Dona Bigler, and brother Dan Cornforth, as well as seven grandsons and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, of 47 years and his parents.

Funeral service for Dean will be 2:00 PM Monday December 23, 2024 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to OMRF Pancreatic Cancer.

Sharon Kay [Griffith] Cornforth
March 5, 1954 ~ January 15, 2024


Funeral service for Sharon Cornforth, 69 will be Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00 am in Oakwood Christian Church with Pastor Alan Seibel officiating. Cremation will follow after the service. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Sharon was born on March 5, 1954 in Enid to James Thomas and Haselteen [Cowen] Griffith and passed away on January 15, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1972.

On June 7, 1977, Sharon married Dean Cornforth in Enid, where they made their home.

Sharon worked as a payroll clerk for Novak and Jorden for several years.

She was a member of Oakwood Christian Church. Sharon enjoyed her family and friends, loving on each of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Canady, Sister, Karen Wallace; and special family member, Monte King.

She is survived by her husband, Dean; children, Holly and husband, Nate Willson, Jacob Cornforth, Jay Cornforth, Jamie and wife, Kimberly Cornforth; special nephew, Josh Morse; godson, Chris Lane; grandchildren, Griffith, Rylan, Grey, Ethan, Chazz, Tyler, Tristin; great grandchildren, Scarlett and Alice; brothers and their wives, Roger and Debbie Canady, Ron and Edi Griffith, and Rick and Anna Griffith; sisters and their husbands, Linda and Steve McGee and Shirleen and Cliff Hill; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to OMRF-Pancreatic Cancer.
