Wendell Cook was born July 30, 1940, in Atoka County to Edgar and Dorothy (Wike) Cook and died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, in Enid. He was a cross-country truck driver and welder. In 1971, he married Patsy Hastings. They later divorced.
Preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his mother; son, Jeffrey Cook; daughters, Edie Grizzle and Heidi Tapia; four grandchildren; brother, Philip Cook; and sister, Glenna Bryan.
Funeral for Wendell will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
