September 6, 1940 - April 26, 2020

Celebration of Life for the immediate family of Jimmy Dean Connolly, age 79, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may stop by the funeral home to view Jimmy, sign the guest book and watch a memorial video of his life from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday. Friends who would like to attend the graveside service may do so, but they must remain in or just outside of their vehicles. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jimmy Dean Connolly was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Enid, Okla., and went to be with his Savior on April 26, 2020. He was the only child of Earl W. Connolly and Edith Hicks Connolly and grew up on the family farm near Garber and attended Garber Schools.

On June 18, 1958, he married the love of his life, Alice Faye Herber. Together they raised five children. Jimmy worked at Woodring Airport in Enid, and was the road foreman for Garfield County District 2 and retired there. After retiring for just a short period, he started a second career as a heavy equipment operator at Gateway Pipeline for several years. Once he decided that traveling the pipeline was getting old, he retired yet again, but that didn't last long either. He went to work at St. Mary's Hospital as a lab courier. Most recently he spent his time at home with Alice. Jimmy was a hard worker and loved to fish, noodle and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Alice, of the home; four daughters and a son: Selena McGuire and husband Jimmy, of Edmond, Okla., Shelly Connolly of Edmond, Okla., Shirley Smith and husband Sam of Enid, Alison Connolly of Garber, and Travis Connolly and wife Julie of Fairmont. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed dearly.

Memorial contributions in Jimmy's name may be made to the OMRF heart and Alzheimer's divisions or the Enid SPCA, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made and services viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
