Art Ray Collins
May 10, 1889 ~ December 30, 1974


Funeral services for Art R. Collins, 85, 915 S. Washington, will be at 2 PM Friday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Lloyd Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Collins was born May 10, 1889, in Centerville, Iowa, and died Monday afternoon from injuries he received in a car accident.

After his birth, the family moved to Katy, Texas, then to a farm near Marshall in 1912. Collins had lived in Enid since 1923 and was self employed as a floor coverman.

He semi retired and worked as a parking lot attendant for the Yellow Cab Company until completely retiring 10 years ago.

Collins and Theresa Hasbrook were married August 21, 1917, in the Hasbrook home in Marshall and she survives him.

He is also survived by a son, Lloyd Collins of Clinton; four daughters, Mrs Delbert [Alliene] Morrow, Enid, Mrs Pat [Nadiene] Malone, Sunnyvale, California, Mrs Custer [Loriene' Kelly, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Mrs Robert [Wanda] Reim, Anadarko; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Harold [Velva] Swaim, Enid; three brothers, Pearl Collins of Enid, Charlie Collins, Elk City and Leslie Collins, Tulsa.

The family will be at the Delbert Morrow home at 418 N. 19th until after the services.

Dorothea [Melton] Collins
April 28, 1912 ~ September 4, 1969


Funeral service for Mrs Carl L. [Dorothea] Collins, 57, has been set for 4 PM Saturday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Paul H. Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs Collins died Thursday in a Temple, Texas hospital following an illness of several weeks.

She was born in Dustin, Oklahoma, April 28, 1912, and lived in the Dustin and Allen communities while growing up.

She attended OCW at Chickasha and East Central State College. She graduated from South Eastern State Teachers College with a B. S. Degree in elementary and commercial education.

Mrs Collins was married to Carl L. Collins in Pryor on April 22, 1936. They established their home in Wetumpka where she taught for seven years before moving to Enid in 1941. - Wed 22/Aug/1926 Pryor OK Mrs Collins substituted in Enid schools for several years before accepting a teaching position at McKinley Grade School in 1950. She taught 19 years there including second, third and fourth grades.

She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, Iota Bridge Club, NEA, OEA, EEA, and past president of the F. E. W. Club.

Survivors include her husband, Carl L., of the home at 1507 Quanah; a son, Capt Carl Collins, El Paso; one sister, Mrs Beatrice Pope, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Roy Melton, San Antonio, Texas, Bill Melton, Maysville, and Leon Melton, Odessa, Texas, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister in infancy.

Jacob S. Collins
1915 ~ August 31, 1972


Funeral rites for Jacob S. Collins, 57, who died early Thursday in a local hospital, will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Nelson Bradshaw will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Collins was born in Gates, North Carolina, and lived there until enlisting in the US Army in 1940. He and Blanche Sikes were married at Corvallis, Oregon, in March, 1942, and moved to Enid the following year.

Collins was employed by the State Department of Institutions, Social and Rehabilitative service until the time of his death.

He was a member of Saint Luke's United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Blanche of the home at 1204 E. Elm; three sons, Stewart Barton Collins, Ponca City, Ricky Lynn Collins, Enid and Sgt. Carl Larry Collins, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Mrs Charles [Jackie] Johnstone and Mrs David [Joyce] McNaughton, both of Enid; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs Alma Collins of Sunbury, North Carolina; a sister, Mrs Frank Rice of Sunbury; two brothers, Hugh Collins, Norfolk, Virginia, and Raymond Collins, Vietnam.

Daisy Blanche [Sikes] Collins
March 24, 1921 ~ February 23, 1984


Services for Blanche Collins, 62, who died early Thursday in her home following a lengthy illness, will be at 2 PM Monday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Bill Kious will officiate at the rites and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs Collins was born March 24, 1921, in Scranton, Arkansas, the daughter of Tobe and Dorothy [Jones] Sikes.

She attended schools in Scranton.

On March 11, 1942, she and Jacob S. Collins were married at Corvallis, Oregon. They moved to Enid the following year.

Mrs Collins worked at Hedges Café from 1956 to 1968, then in the housekeeping department of St Mary's Hospital. She had been lead housekeeper since 1972 and was on leave of absence at the time of her death.

Mrs Collins was a member of Saint Luke's United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Stewart Barton Collins, Norcross, Georgia, Carl Larry Collins, Brunswick, Missouri, and Ricky Lynn Collins of Enid; two daughters, Mrs David [Joyce] McNaughton, Willow Park, Texas, and Jackie Johnstone of Waukomis; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Arnold B. Sikes, North Little Rock, Arkansas; three sisters, Prue Randel, Guthrie, Mrs Wayne [Lucy] Bosewell of Moore and Stella Mae Sharp, Granada Hills, California. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 31, 1972, and by a brother.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Garfield County Hospice Association, with the funeral home serving as custodian of contributions.

The family will be at the home at 1204 E. Elm.

Claribel [Willard] Collins
January 30, 1928 ~ August 24, 2013


ENID, OK - The funeral service for Claribel Collins, 85 year old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Lillie will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Claribel was born January 1, 1928, in Enid to Everett and Ramona [Frye] Willard and died Saturday, August 24, 2013, in the Commons.

She attended country school near Drummond and graduated from Drummond High School, where she played basketball.

After graduation, she went to work in Enid at Southwestern Bell Telephone.

On February 27, 1947, she married Lloyd H. Collins in the Methodist Church in Enid, where the couple made their home.

They moved to Clinton in 1960. She worked as a bookkeeper at Salsibury's Pharmacy for over 15 years until retiring in 1990, when the couple moved to Alamo, Texas.

She was a member of PEO. She enjoyed Plastic Canvas artistry. She also liked to bowl and won a league championship. But she mostly enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

She is survived by her daughter, Delores Hinton and husband, Bill of Pond Creek, OK; son-in-law, Joel Holland of Grandville, Michigan; five grandchildren, Chad Holland and wife, Lesley, Hollie DeYoung and husband, Kevin, Heather DeMario and husband, Mike, Eric Holland and wife, Joy and Hiley Morgan Hinton. She was great grandma "CaCa" to 12 great grandchildren, Carmen and Bryce Holland, Kennadi, Jackson and Easton DeYoung, Daylie, Keegan, Rylie, Preslie and Graeden DeMario, Deborah Lily and Weston Holland.

Also surviving are step grandchildren; Diana Easterly and husband, Danny; Tom Hinton and wife, Tracy; step great grandchildren, Mandy Robinson and husband, John, Serenity Hinton, Josh Hinton and Natasha Hinton; step great great grandchildren Hailee and Sara Robinson and Blaze Hooper.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd; mother, step-father and daughter, Debbie.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
