The funeral service for Dorothy L. Cody will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry O’Toole officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Dorothy was born August 12, 1928 in Cedar Vale, KS to Harvey and Ruth (Hallman) McCall and passed away March 17, 2016 in Enid.

She attended Cedar Vale schools and graduated high school in 1947. Dorothy married Charles K. Cody on May 8, 1950 in Bartlesville, OK. She was a loving wife, moving with Charles to many cities while he worked in the oil fields. She enjoyed being around people, and was often called a social butterfly who never met a stranger. Dorothy had a great sense of humor and enjoyed working in her flower beds, dancing and bowling but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was a member of the Cowboy Church, Willow View Methodist Church and Enid V.F.W. Post #2270.

Dorothy is survived by son, Curtis Cody of Enid; daughter Karen Rensch and husband, Craig of Odessa, TX; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Joan Humphryes.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans with the funeral home acting as custodians of the funds.
