Enid, Oklahoma June 2007 July 28, 1937 ~ June 18, 2007 Mass of Christian Burial for Walter "Wally" Clements, 69, will be 10 am Thursday at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Revs Kevin Ratterman and Ernest Flusche will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. He was born July 28, 1937, in Enid to William Henry and Opal Pauline Riggs Clements and died Monday, June 18, 2007, at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He grew up in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1955. He attended Oklahoma A&M and served in the Navy. He married Bonnie Breckinridge April 12, 1957. He joined the family business, Clements Plumbing. She died in 1979. He later married Margaret Ford April 16, 1982, in Enid He was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Men’s Club. He was past grand knight third degree and faithful comptroller fourth degree. He started the Knights of Columbus annual Thanksgiving dinner which continued for 25 years. He also was the cook at the monthly breakfast. He volunteered at Our Daily Bread. He was the owner of Louie's Bar & Grill on Canton Lake and recently retired due to ill health. Surviving are his wife, Margaret of the home; his mother, Opal Clements of Enid; three sons, Billy Clements of Wichita, Kan., Scott Clements of Crowley, Texas, and Randy Ford of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Patricia Thompson of Houston; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, Bonnie, he was preceded in death by one daughter. |
